[Summer Fun] — Lake Wilcox Park

Fun day at Wilcox Lake Park with the kiddos. It was our first time here and boy was it busy! It’s a nice park with picnic area, barbecue area, park area, and Water Park. A pathway to walk near the lake too. Too bad we didn’t have enough time – Hubby wanted to take a walk around the lake area.

It was a nice little get together before all the kids start school again. Hopefully next time it won’t be as busy!

Have a FABULOUS day!!!

[Summer Fun] — Canada’s Wonderland

When was the last time I ever step foot in Canada’s Wonderland? I think over 13 years ago! Crazy much? It was nice to be back! We visited Canada’s Wonderland late July with our two kiddos. Munchkin#1 was overly excited even before we got in. Munchkin#2 behaved so well even after an 8 hour day out. I serious could not complain!

We stayed at the kids’ area and with eight hour we had. It was just not enough time for all the rides plus the park was so busy and so much to do too! Definitely worth getting the season pass!

We had to literally bribe & drag Munchkin#1 out of Wonderland! He loved it and is constantly asking to go back. He sure doesn’t know how fortunate he is to be enjoying all these summer activities. Sometimes I feel like our kids have life so good. For sure Wonderland will be a place to be back. Till next time!

Have a BEAUTIFUL day!!!

[Event Planning] — Donald Duck & Anchor Theme Birthday Party • DIYs, Favor Bags, Banners, Prizes, Cake, and More

Finally taking the time to update my youngest son’s 1st birthday. It was fun and enjoyable planning his first birthday party. I decided on Donald Duck & Anchor – medium blue, grey, orangey-yellow theme. I had picked this theme prior before he was born. Yes – I am that crazy mama!

I had some stuff designed a year before his birthday party. All the details were important to me and especially things matching.

Made about 50 loot bags. Color ones were for the kids and the white ones for adults. I mainly decided on snacks. Who doesn’t like snack right? I bought snacks throughout the year and oh boy – I didn’t realized I accumulated that much…. I shall write it down for my next party!

Created 4 prize boxes for the games. Mainly snacks as well. Wrapped the boxes myself with cut outs matching the theme.

Wrapped up 40 popcorn favor bags. I thought of these last minute – so it was part of the birthday favors.

I made yellow and blue jello shots mainly for decorations for dessert cake table but the kids ended up loving it. It sure does give the dessert cake table the main color pop! Love it!

Of course we had to keep the kids busy with activities to do. These are the crafts I picked up. We also had bubbles and artificial tattoos for the kids. Had the face pie game for them to play. But the main thing they loved was of course playing with each other.

I made about three banners. The main one for the wall. Second one was for the dessert cake table and third was for the food counter.

These cups are for the potato salads – I believe I prepped 40 of these.

Oh man – the cake was one of the items I splurge on. It wasn’t easy finding a ‘Donald Duck” cake – so I had to special order it from a baker. I was so worried that it looked nothing like Donald Duck but thank goodness it was perfect! The flavor was cotton candy. A lot of people gave a lot of compliment of the cake. It wasn’t too sweet or too much cream.

I had a crazy amount of leftovers! I made enough to feed 100 people lol. I specifically messaged everyone to bring an empty stomach! Most ate already and that’s why. Thank god for containers – friends and family took most of the leftovers home. I made 3 main dishes and 1 appetizers myself. The rest were ordered or store bought.

In loved with my dessert cake table. I think it was one of the best I’ve done! I was really proud of myself! I mapped out everything beforehand.

A lot of work indeed for my youngest son’s first birthday but it was all worth it. Planning a party requires so much time and creativity! That’s why I plan it months in advance to avoid any unnecessary stress. I can’t wait to plan the next party! It was a blissful moment to have most of our friends and families there celebrating munchkin#2s birthday with us. Stay tune for his birthday party post!

Have a BLISSFUL day!!!

[Jayden] — 5 Year & 1 Month Update

My baby looks so grown up these days – makes me teary to see how much he’s grown for the past 5 years.

He’s been eating more vegetables and fruits lately. I’ve made an effort to include fruits every dinner – so there’s no excuses in not eating fruits. Vegetables – I make sure I have it all cut up in his bowl of rice or pasta – he’s been more open to eat it. Doesn’t love it but he would eat it. It’s a good start. He understands that it’s healthy and good for you. I believe he’s learned that in school too. It’s all just an habit – I think in no time – he’ll have no problem with eating it.

Also – I’ve cut out after school snack. It is just so close to dinner time. I wanted him to have a proper meal instead of eating half his dinner. Just makes more sense that way.

I’ve given him a few more responsibilities. When he gets home – he puts everything away and takes out his lunch bag to put it in the counter. Sometimes he would clean after his baby brother when his baby brother makes a mess. Helps mommy put this and that in the washing machine, brings his bowls to the sink, and has been bathing on his own. Maybe soon – I’ll add in vacuuming? I believe introducing chores at an early age is a good thing – builds his habit up.

Since soccer ended up March – swimming has started late April. He was reluctant in going back to swimming because of the last swimming experience. We didn’t give him a choice – he just had to go back to swimming. After taking a few months off – I think it was enough time off. After his first class back – he is much more comfortable with new instructors and a new group of kids. I’m glad he is loving it again.

There’s a time to have fun and a time to do work. I truly believe that a routine in life is a must. In order to earn Ipad time – he does his writing in his workbook. Depending on his mood – he can do up to 10 pages a day. Than he goes onto reading a book. Not too much to ask for right? I remember before – I used to have to stress about getting him to write. After putting in a routine – he has been enjoying writing a lot more now. No need to raise my voice anymore.

He’s still not a big fan of sharing his toys or anything with baby brother – so we have to remind him on a daily basis.

He’s been coming up with hilarious sentences – kind of cracks his parents up. I enjoy hearing him say silly things or things we never heard him saying. It’s so cute to us. I think it’s a parent thing?

Have a WONDERFUL day!!!

[Celebration] — Jayden’s 5th Birthday Party

Celebrated our son’s 5th birthday party on March.5th.2017, a Sunday afternoon. This was his third 5th birthday celebration. We are very grateful to celebrate his special day with all his little friends – thank god it was the last celebration till next year! I believe this party is his most looked forward for because it includes all his favorite little friends. We even got a helium tank to fill up over 12 medium size balloons this year. All the kids were so happy to bring one home too!

For the menu – I focused more on what the adults would love to eat because – let’s be honest – the kid wasn’t here for the food! They can careless of what they eat. They were here to play with each other and explore different toys. Most importantly the birthday song and cake cutting.

The older kids got to do an art & craft which lasted about 5 to 10 minute long. Yes – these crafty things gotta be fast because their patience is only so limited. There were about 12 kids total – including ours as well. I was so surprised that they played so nicely and quietly. No one was shouting or arguing. The Mama’s got to chill and catch up while the Daddys’ got to play video games!

All the kids were so excited about the Minion cake – it was deliciously made and bought from T&T Supermarket! Not too sweet or too creamy either. Definitely will be purchasing their birthday cakes from there from now on! Can’t believe our first born is 5 already! We love celebrating with these kids every year – it’s the same bunch of kids that grew up together and we add in a few new friends every year.

Look at these kiddos! I can’t wait to plan the next party!

Have a BLISSFUL day!!!

[Cayden] — 8 Month Update • Sprouting 2 Bottom Teeth

My second child sure has some character! A whole lot of character comparing to his big brother! He will scream and get angry at things – I know right? Get angry and throw a fit at 8 month old? I sure don’t remember his big brother doing that at this young! I’m going to read up upon how to control baby behavior and fix this issue. It’s better to start it early than later – otherwise it’ll be even harder to fix.

My little Munchkin has officially sleep trained in his own crib. He hasn’t slept in the play pan for over a month now! I have to say he’s only 90% sleep train. I am still working on skipping out on the night time 12:30AM feed. Other than that he’ll cry in the middle of the night once in awhile. Sometimes I ignore it and he goes back to sleep till 7 in the morning. I’m glad we started this sleep training process early because Mama gets her beauty sleep back!

Big brother loves baby brother. Baby brother loves watching his big brother do things. I love their interaction and am in love watching them both grow up together. It warms my heart so much that they’ll have each other growing up together when we are old and wrinkly in the future.

He loves standing up and jumping – quite active! He shifts around on the floor and goes everywhere. When I leave him their for a few minutes – he’s gone! I’m not going to put gates up for him – so I got to keep my eyes on him at all times. This kid is fast!

Mama has finally got his routine down. He’s down with 2 naps, 4 meals, and the rest of the time is play time, bath time, and etc… Having a routine is such a must – it just makes my life easier and I can plan ahead. I still nurse him before naps and before bedtime. He has cut down to half his nursing.

He graduated from his play mat and blue bouncer. I’ve sold them – makes me kind of sad when it’s gone because that means he’s grown up and soon not a baby anymore. The blue bouncer was from his baby brother over 4 years ago. A little sentimental to me for sure.

Loves playing toys and listening to music. Whenever I sing “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” – he settles down.

Look at that cheekiness!

I’ve been preparing his solids 2-3 times a week. I try to mix up a bit of the ingredients so he doesn’t have the same things all the time. I don’t think it makes a difference for him but I want him to try new things. So far – he’s been alright eating solids 4 times a day.

So far he’s tried most vegetables and meat except for beef and tomato – I’m going to wait a little bit more for those food. I enjoy preparing and cooking these meals for Munchkin#2 – totally reminds me how I made solids for Munchkin#1. It’s not that feeding store bought food is not healthy – I just like making my own, so I know what’s in it.

That’s all for the month of January 2017 – stay tune to see what’s in store for this little guy next month! There sure is a lot of changes in each month as he grows.

Have a THANKFUL day!!!

[Travels] — Gran Bahia Principe Coba • Mexico, Cancun • Day 7

Day seven didn’t start out the way we wanted to. We woke up to a sick child. Munchkin#1 caught a fever! Thank goodness I am always prepare for every trip we go to. I pack all their medicines and thermometer. Gave him his medicine and he puked a few times.

We took a break from the water park and beach – Munchkin#1 was just too tired. From the past few days he was NONSTOP running around and being under the sun.

Hubby and I had cocktails at the bar while both Munchkin rested.

We ordered room service for lunch as well. Not a huge fan of their room service menu because it was very limited but we wanted Munchkin#1 to rest up.

He took a few hour nap and woke up very hungry and energized. Lol our son only needs a few hour to recharge than hes good! His fever was gone and he asked to go to the beach too. We were just shocked how fast he recovers. Of course we didn’t listen to his request. We wanted him to rest more for our flight the next day.

We had dinner at the seafood restaurant and my salmon meal was delicious. There were a lot of seafood appetizers too. It was a delicious meal!

There goes our day 7! Cant believe our trip is coming to an end! Despite having an extra child to care for – it was very manageable still. It all comes down to organization and extra patience! Stay tune for our last day of our trip! Thanks for dropping by!

Have an AWESOME day!!!

[Travels] — Gran Bahia Principe Coba • Mexico, Cancun • Day 6

Excursion day!

We woke up super early on this day because our excursion bus picks us up at 7:40AM. We woke up around 6:30AM to get ready and have breakfast.

Our first stop was of course the famous ChiChen Itza. Before booking this trip – Hubby was like we MUST visit this place. So we had to! This was our first 7th of wonders we visited!

Walking in this famous Pyramid – there were lots of shops to buy souvenirs and gifts. The prices are very reasonable comparing to other shops. I recommend you to buy your souvenirs here instead of anywhere else. You can bargain as well! We didn’t get anything but we got my Father-in-law a handmade ChiChen Itza for $5USD.

It was a very very hot day. Especially being under the sun and carrying a almost 12pound Munchkin. I hope I lost some weight and gain some muscles that day! Lol. We stayed at ChiChen Itza for about 2.5 hours. Learned a bit of history and explore different pyramids.

After exploring ChiChen Itza – we had a buffet lunch at a restaurant.

Where the restaurant was located was also where we were going to explore one of the Cenotes. Very cool. We could of swam in it but we decided not to. Not up for getting wet and than changing after with 2 kids. We just walked down to have a look and took some pictures.

Than we headed to a little village nearby which I forgot the name of it. It had a really nice and big park. We wanted to do some shopping there but couldn’t find anything to get. When I get something – I’m very specific and it has to match my home too. OCD much?

After walking around for half an hour – we headed back to the bus. It took about 1.5 hour to get back to the resort.

I have to say that our kids were AMAZING with minimal fuss! Some people didn’t even notice there was a baby on the bus! Cayden was that good! It was a long day for both my kids & they did awesome. Makes parenthood that much easier when they behave.

We paid $75USD each person for this excursion – both kids were free. I definitely recommend this excursion – ChiChen Itza is definitely a must see!

We got back to the resort around 7:30PM – the first thing we did was hit the buffet! We were all very hungry. After that – we went to the privilege lounge to upload photos.

Than we headed back to our room to bath and we all  slept right away. We were all so exhausted! It was so so so much fun exploring! I didn’t get to take videos but I did capture a lot of photos! Stay tune for our day 7 of our trip! Thanks for stopping by!

Have a LOVELY day!!!

[Travels] — Gran Bahia Principe Coba • Mexico, Cancun • Day 4

WHAT? I’m on day 4 already? Half the trip flew by just like that. I told my hubby – one week on vacation is really not enough. We should try 7-8 days next time. I was a little home sick by day 4 but really I only missed sleeping on my comfy bed. Not saying that our bed at our resort room wasn’t comfy. Its just nothing beats it when its your own right?

We’ve woke up quite early throughout our trip – so every day we had an early start. Did the usual except we went to another beach location at our resort. Not the private part of the beach – the one that everyone can go to.

We also found where the dolphins were! It was super cool to have dolphins on site – we never experienced that before! Hubby didn’t wanna ride the dolphins and so didn’t Munchkin#1. So we ended up watching the dolphins do a few tricks then headed back to the beach.

Our dinner that night was at the Brazilian restaurant. One of hubbys’ fave. They served a lot of meat on your plate. I liked everything except for the turkey – it was a bit too rough. Overall another amazing experience. Brings us back to our last resort vacation back in May 2015 where they had brazilian dining outdoors.

That was it for day 4. Stay tune for the next 3 more days. I love blogging about our experiences because to be honest – we do get mixed up where we’ve been to – since we’ve gone to so many different resorts at different locations. Thanks for stopping by!

Have a TERRIFIC day!!!

[Travels] — Gran Bahia Principe Coba • Mexico, Cancun • Day 3

The days are going by super fast – seems like our vacation is ending soon too! Nothing really much different than day 2. Our routine was much less than the same except our dinner restaurant.

We reserved our a la carte dinner at 6:30PM at Mikado Japanese restaurant. Since we are privilege membership holders – we could reserve as many a la carte restaurants as we like. We booked these restaurants 3 weeks in advance. There’s a lot of perks of being a privilege member & we love it.

We had some sushi & sashimi appetizers to start off with and the rest was Tappanyaki. As always – the chef put on a show for all of us. These chef has some skills! Munchkin#1 was exhausted that he didn’t eat much of his dinner. While Munchkin#2 fell asleep half way through our dinner. I give it a 7/10 peacefulness for our dinner. I mean – welcome to parenthood! After dinner we headed straight back to our room & passed out. Stay tune for day 4!

Have a GRATEFUL day!!!

[Celebration] — Our 2016 Christmas Morning

Still catching up with Christmas events! I finally got things settle and am back to my regular schedule! Woohoo! Anyways – this was a very special Christmas for all of us. It was our second son’s first Christmas & It was the first Christmas that we introduce Santa to our first son. He was believing in everything – he even saw a little clip with Santa on a sleigh and reindeer flying in the sky. It was SO magical for him! It was so amazing to watch! I love it! I never got to know or experience Santa’s magical fairytale and I am so glad my boys get to experience it!

Christmas morning is just for our family only – it’s a day where we spent it opening presents in the morning in our matching pajamas. It’ll be one of our traditions that started last year. My heart is so warm and happy watching my boys grow and be happy.

This Munchkins’ 1st Christmas – look at that cheerful boy! We had an eventful morning – Santa brought everyone presents! Munchkin#1 helped with opening baby brothers’ presents too. I don’t need anything else because I have my family – they are my everything! Can’t wait for 2017 Christmas in about 10 months! Are you excited for Christmas in 10 months? Lol – I must be a little crazy!

Have a BLISSFUL day!!!

[Haul] — Walmart Home Haul

g0164

This was a Walmart haul from awhile ago – mainly picked up a lot of treats for the party we were hosting back in August. I found out that Rice Krispies make whole wheat now? When did that happen? I had one of those and it takes the same as the regular one – still very sweet but I guess it’s healthier than the regular one? Have you tried the whole wheat version before? Anyways – got some basics and that was it. Not a huge haul – it was much like a rush with two kids. Stay tune for more daily hauls and reviews – this blog is updated regularly at 12PM Eastern Time! [Lifestyle] — 4 Month Postpartum • Hair Loss

g0183

Beautiful weather in November!

It’s my fourth month postpartum update! I think I’ll be stopping my postpartum update after 6 month. There will be not much to update with postpartum after 6 months except my weight issues.

First off – hair loss. My hair is falling off like there’s no tomorrow! It’s everywhere and very annoying. It wasn’t as bad the first time but this time I notice it a lot more. Hope it stops soon!

Second off – my period came and it’s been 2-3 weeks now. It’s not heavy at all. Not sure if I mentioned it last month but my period never came last time till I stopped breastfeeding completely. So it’s different this time. My girlfriend told me if my period comes early – it means that I can shed off weight fast. Haven’t hop on the scale for awhile – so I’m not sure if it is or not.

g0188

As for breastfeeding – I’m still breastfeeding exclusively. Sometimes my milk supply is up and sometimes down. Not something I can control at all. It all depends what I consume I guess. I’ve been caffeine free for a month now and it does help. Once in awhile I’ll sneak in a cup of milk tea. I do notice the difference. I drink the Mom Tea once in awhile too. Plus I drink lots of water and papaya soup daily. My plan is to breastfeed for another 6 month and we’ll see what happens after that.

g0185 g0186

I’m getting a little more tired these days. Maybe I’m doing a lot more than before. Well it’s November and the busy season is coming! I’m just planning everything ahead to avoid any unnecessary stress. I avoid taking naps either – I don’t want to have problems sleeping at night. Which works out perfectly – I’m dead asleep around 10PM-11PM.

g0187

Vacation is within a week. It’s a much needed break for hubby & me. No chores, no cooking, no cleaning, no errands, no school, and no waking up early for a week! We cannot wait for this. It’ll be different because we are bringing an extra member on this trip. I’m sure Munchkin#2 will enjoy it as much as his big brother. We have his floaty and swimwear ready already!

g0184

Got my pretty nails & pedi done for this vacation too! I’m debating if I should get my hair braided again when I’m there. We’ll see!

That’s all the updates for my four month postpartum! Hope you enjoy reading my journals – do you keep a journal yourself? Stay tune for more daily adventures & hauls – this blog is updated regularly at 12PM Eastern Time! Thanks for stopping by!

[Home] — Ikea Photo Frames Wall Collage • DIY Project

g0097

Been wanting to put up a collage of photos on this wall for quite sometime now. Never really had the time to think about it before till now. Before doing anything – I had to draw out what I want to put up and how I want it. Everything I do has a meaning to it and keep reading – you’ll understand why I did what I did. I’m quite proud of what I did and I love it! This wall is in front of my dining table.

g0098

I put up these four frames first – these four frames will have my kids birthday pictures from 1 year old to 6 year old. They each will have 6 photos. It wasn’t easy putting these frames up – so much planning – so much measuring too. I’m very OCD when things are off – but now it’s perfect!

g0099

Almost complete! Okay – so the bottom right where there is 4 little frames – those are first Christmases of both my kids and their baptism. You see the 2 empty ones – its because Cayden hasn’t experience his first Christmas & baptism yet. The left & right columns are for vacations that we go to. When the rooms are running out – we can add 2-3 more columns on each side (left and right).

g0100

Completion! Yes – finally done after hours.. I don’t even know how many hours. The top left has 2 large photo frames – a picture of us on our wedding day & our first family picture. I had to visit Ikea once more to complete this wall. It’s not really complete because we can always add extra frames on the left and right side. But overall – it’ll just be vacation pictures and birthday pictures we’ll be adding. My empty wall feels so different now with these frames on it! Feels more complete! I call this my “Wall of Love”. I LOVE IT! I’m so blessed to wake up to all these wonderful memories created every day! Life is such a blessing! Thanks for dropping by – stay tune for more updates – this blog is updated regularly!

[Home][Organization] — Developing & Organizing Photos & Photo Albums

g0159 g0160

Here’s another project I worked on when I took a month and a half break from my blog. I looked over thousands of photos and developed thousands of photos. I love keeping a hard copy of my photos. Who knows if Facebook will be gone one day right? I store all my photos on Facebook. I had to go back to looking at photos from 2009 to this year – bring back so many memories. Took me hours looking through photos, choosing what to develop, and putting it all together. But it’s ALL worth it because I love looking back at all the amazing memories created.

g0161 g0162

These are the photo albums categorize by year – from year 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and many empty ones waiting to be filled.

g0163

These albums are from our wedding (7 from the left) and the rest is for my kids. Believe it or not – but most of these albums are all filled up. I still need to get 8 more to fill up the rest of my shelf on the right. Are you as crazy as me? When I’m old and wrinkly – these are the photos I’ll be looking back at. It’s crazy to think that I developed over thousands of photos. That’s a lot of money well spent there. Stay tune for more daily updates – this blog is updated regularly at 12PM Eastern Time.
