Mommy Monday – When do I ever get bored?

That’s a big laugh out loud. I wish I can say that word often but I can’t. Life doesn’t allow me to say that. I’m blessed to have things to do all the time and keep busy with the kids. Life is nonstop and I kind of like it this way!

Honestly – watching TV now – I can never sit through a whole show or drama because right when I think of something I need to do – I get off my bum to do it right away. Or I multi-task while watching TV. Reason why I record all my TV shows now is so I can re-watch it. Sometimes I have to re-watch a show 3-4 times to get what it’s talking about. Mom life much?

 I think in officially four years time – I can say I am bored. When both my kids are in school eight hours a day – I get 8 hours of kid’s free time to plan, gym, home stuff, bake, or cook. Maybe I’ll get a new hobby by then? Who knows? But yes – getting bored doesn’t come by these days. Do you get bored?

[Mommy Monday] — Thankful for Good Sleepers!

I can’t be blessed enough with both kids sleeping so awesomely! Before having kids – my worry was always about my sleep. Would I get my beauty sleep again? I love my sleep!

Thank goodness both my kids sleep so well during the night – I can get up to 9 hours straight of sleep every night. Well once in a blue moon – I’ll hear crazy crying. Or when the kids are sick – I’ll need to check up on them. But that’s really it.

We’ve sleep trained them both at a very young age. Munchkin#1 at 10 month old and Munchkin#2 at 7 month old. I would say its quite young but its good to start early. The earlier you sleep train your kids the easier it is. Both my kids ‘cry it out’ for 3-4 days and that was it! No more trouble after that.

For both kids – during and after sleep training – I no longer gave them night time feeds. They just sleep through the night. If you want good night sleeps – start early with sleep training! It’s the best decision I ever made!

[Mommy Monday] — Parenting

I am not an expert at parenting & I cannot agree more with this article my girlfriend sent me. It’s so on point & I agree with it 100%.

There are also a few things I’ve marked down for myself & my family to work on.

Parenting sure is the hardest job in this world! It can be the most rewarding or frustrating job.

I’m not a perfect parent but I try my best. At times I sit down with my husband to reflect on our parenting. What we are doing a good job on and what we need to work on. It’s like a goal to work on every week or even every month.

Having children is a lifetime commitment till the day we die. I would NEVER in my life raise spoil brats. It’ll just make myself miserable and why would I want that? Why would I want my kids to take control over me?

As strict of a routine my kids have – there is also times to have fun too. Vacations and weekends are for fun. Other times are routine. I so believe in a routine lifestyle. Growing up – I never had a routine life. Every day after school was different – I felt like I was all over the place. There’s a place and time to have fun & there’s a place and time for daily routines. As the quote says “work hard – play hard”.

I will never criticize or give comments to other parents on how they raise their children because quite frankly – it’s none of my business.

No parent is ever perfect. It all depends what you want for your children. I don’t need perfect children – I want respectful, humble, and kind hearted children.

[Mommy Monday] — Making My Own Baby Food?

It’s Mommy Monday – why do I prefer to make my own baby meals?

Honestly the number one reason is because I know exactly what’s in the food. Even though store bought food tells you the ingredients on the jar – but what’s the amount of each ingredient? You’ll never know.

Secondly – it takes around 30-45 minutes to prepare. It doesn’t take long to make your baby’s food – so why not?

Thirdly – you can add whatever you want in it. My choice is 2 types of veggies, rice or pasta, and 1 type of meat. Doctor advised me to add extra oil in my son’s food too. I use avocado oil in all the food I make.

You don’t have to only make it for a day – you can make it for a few days. I prefer to make it for 3 days at a time. Honestly – you can add all sorts of healthy ingredients in your baby’s food. I love preparing & cooking my Munchkins’ food. He loves eating it too.

[Mommy Monday] — My Pregnancy Regrets

Its Monday again – my topic today is “What’s my pregnancy regrets”?

My first pregnancy regret is that I wasn’t too active for both my pregnancies. I wish I could be either walking more or doing home exercises.

My second pregnancy regret is that I ate whatever I wanted for the first two trimesters. I wish I had more control. Both of these regrets led to the after baby weight – which now I am still working on my second pregnancy weight gain. Both pregnancies I gained around 35-37 pounds. Which doesn’t seem a lot but the aftermath is a lot. It’s easy for some people to lose it right away. It takes me quite a lot of work to shed off the weight. Nothing comes easy right? I do believe since both my pregnancy is so smooth and comfortable – it’s harder for me to get rid of the stubborn weight. I’m still working on it & never giving up! I want my high school weight back for sure!

[Mommy Monday] — What I Missed With My Pregnancies

Starting off my very first Mommy Monday post with what I missed most during my pregnancies. To be honest – I missed every part of it. The only thing that I don’t miss is being sick for about two months during morning sickness. The rest I missed. I didn’t mind being swollen or having back pain.

I missed the little kicks, I missed my belly growing, I missed feeling the hiccups, I missed the ultrasounds, and I basically miss everything.

I embrace my second pregnancy to the max because I know it was my last. Although both pregnancy was very different – I love my experience for both and wouldn’t mind going through it again & again. I cannot believe I’m saying this because 5 years ago – my thoughts were very different.
