[Summer Fun] — Toronto Railway Museum & Ripleys Aquarium

My son loves all types of transportation – so riding the Toronto Museum Train was a must on the list. The mini train seriously is nothing much but he still got very excited. An adult must be riding it with him – it cost $6.00 for the both of them. Whatever makes your kid happy right? I believe it was less than a 5 minute ride around the area.

After the mini train ride – Ripley Aquarium was our next destination. We’ve wanted to visit this place for awhile – so fitting it into our summer calendar was a must.

My whole family was excited when we got to the entrance. The tanks of fishes were so gorgeous! There’s so much to learn and see. I am sure that both munchkins’ will have class trips in the future here.

My faves were the jellyfishes. So unique and interesting. The play area was small and crowded but that doesn’t stop my son for having fun and playing with other kids.

We bought some candies at the gift shop to end our fun day out. We took about 2.5 hour to walk through the whole aquarium. If we had more time – I think I’ll go through it one more time. It’s a nice place to go once but I’m not sure if I want to revisit? Maybe in a few years?

Have a GRATEFUL day!!!

[Summer Fun] — Barrie Hill Farm & Wasaga Beach

What a wonderful time at Barrie Hill Farm with our friends! It was our first time picking blueberries and strawberries. At first – hubby wasn’t too thrilled about the idea but he ended up enjoying it.

Munchkin#1 did not pick anything because he is OCD and didn’t want to touch anything. His job was to hold the bucket while his parents collected the goods. He had a lot of fun with his friend running around the farm.

After around 3 hours being at the farm – we headed for lunch at our friends Japanese restaurant. We had such an amazing meal – all of us were stuffed!

We stopped by Wasaga for about 2 hours after lunch. The water was quite cold but the kids still loved it.
What an amazing fun day out with our friends and we got to meet some new friends too.

Have a LOVELY day!!!

[Summer Fun] — Canada’s Wonderland

When was the last time I ever step foot in Canada’s Wonderland? I think over 13 years ago! Crazy much? It was nice to be back! We visited Canada’s Wonderland late July with our two kiddos. Munchkin#1 was overly excited even before we got in. Munchkin#2 behaved so well even after an 8 hour day out. I serious could not complain!

We stayed at the kids’ area and with eight hour we had. It was just not enough time for all the rides plus the park was so busy and so much to do too! Definitely worth getting the season pass!

We had to literally bribe & drag Munchkin#1 out of Wonderland! He loved it and is constantly asking to go back. He sure doesn’t know how fortunate he is to be enjoying all these summer activities. Sometimes I feel like our kids have life so good. For sure Wonderland will be a place to be back. Till next time!

Have a BEAUTIFUL day!!!

[Summer Fun] — Exploring Downtown Toronto

What an experience! I don’t think I ever explore Downtown, Toronto even though I live in this city. We drop by here and there but never walked around to view the buildings. It was nice bringing my 2 aunts for some sightseeing. Too bad we didn’t have enough time that day – otherwise we drop by Ripley’s Aquarium too.

We walked around for over four hours and settled at Earls for a sit down dinner.

Glad they both get to enjoy the downtown life. See buildings and kind of soak in the culture a little bit. The weather was beautiful that day too!

Have a GRATEFUL day!!!

[Summer Fun] — Hubbys’ Co-Workers Gathering • Barbecue & Wine

What is better than some wine and barbecue over a hot summer day? It was a nice get together with Hubbys’ coworkers – catching up with life. Nice conversations and nice wine = a perfect summer patio day. Food was delish with a mixture of everything.

We try to get together every summer and it’s nice for me to socialize with Hubbys’ coworkers. Sometimes they invite me to go to their work dinner but with 2 kids – there’s no way for me to go. Maybe I’ll join them for their work lunches one day! It’s nice to feel included into things. Hubbys’ coworkers are all very nice & easy to get along. Till next time!

Have a LOVELY day!!!

[Celebration] — Sixth Year Wedding Anniversary

Sixth year wedding anniversary with the love of my life was somewhat relaxing but with a day of kids activities. Before our anniversary lunch – we headed to Munchkin#2s first swimming lesson. He loved the water and was very comfortable in it.

After the swimming lesson – we headed to Good Catch for lunch. I ordered a cocktail to share with the Hubby. Ordered my first Spicy Salmon Poké and my thoughts? Nothing really that special. Not sure what the hype is about with everyone? Hubby loved his lobster sub.

After lunch we headed to Munchkin#2s’ baptism class.

Quite an eventful day for sure but we got to spend the rest of our day at home. Six years – 2 kids & a home. What more can we ask for? I am forever blessed with my family. I am content where life is & all we need is more time to spend with each other. Can money buy time?

Have a TERRIFIC day!!!

[Summer Fun] — Safari Niagara

It was our first visit to Niagara Safari and it was amazing. It took about 1.5 hour drive with 1 pit stop. It was an extremely hot day but thank goodness both kids behaved & cooperated.

There were so many animals to see. We walked about half way than decided to hop on the wagon ride to see the rest of the Safari. This place is huge!

Munchkin#1 learned so much about animals and his fave was the giraffes. It’s cute how little things interest him. Other than the giraffes – his favorite part was the park. He wasn’t too interested with the water park. Which it was a good thing for us – no need to change him. The park itself is huge. There’s a lot to do! From what I remember – we spent around 5 hours there. We sure did soak in those vitamin C & D that day! For sure we’ll be visiting again one day!

Have a GORGEOUS day!!!

[Haul] — Largest Dollarama Haul

Sharing to you all – one of my largest Dollarama haul. I didn’t intend to get much – just the things I needed. This always happens – I can never walk out of Dollarama with things that don’t belong on my shopping list.

I got a two summer sand toys for our trip to the beach. A lot of home and party things for upcoming events. Found these cute treat bags in the wedding section which I’m not sure what to fill them up with. It just looks pretty – so I had to get it.

These baby squeeze bags was recommended in one of the Mommy groups – decided to give it a try. I will probably be putting blended juice in there. They are so cute arent they? Just hope they don’t leak.

That’s really it for this haul. I had to visit two Dollaramas because they didn’t have party favor bags for the first one I visited. Stay tune for the next haul!

Have a FABULOUS day!!!

[Cayden] — 9 Month Update

This active cutie pie is such a handful these days but mommy is embracing every bit of it. I’m blessed that I get to raise both kids on our own and watch every milestone.

He hasn’t been putting his fingers into his mouth as much as before because he puts other things in his mouth now. Literally whatever he can put in.

He doesn’t let anyone hold him except myself and his daddy. Usually he prefers mommy. But if I am out of his sight – daddy is fine too. Picky much?

He crawls literally everywhere! Kitchen, bathroom, foyer, and bedrooms. It’s crazy how fast he can go too! On another note – he’s been standing so often – that he takes steps by holding on the ledge of something. I think he might be walking very soon. Which means – it’s more trouble for mommy. I haven’t been sitting on my bum lately because I’m always walking around cleaning or watching him to see where he is lol. Perhaps it’s a good thing?

We have started baby classes last month. It’s a great class for babies to interact and play together. Great for us mommies to have a conversation too. So far – he enjoys it.

He understands ‘no’ – but sometimes he still does it. Rebellious at 9 month old already? Oh no! If we raise our voice – he’ll know we are serious but if we have a smile on our face – he knows it’s not that serious. How do such young child know these things?

He is still taking iron supplement and D-drops.

He has been on liquid formula for a month now. It took him about 2-3 days to get used to it and now he loves it. He drinks about 4-5 ounce per feeding. Which is 3 times a day. Usually when we are out – we skip the afternoon milk.

He’s still having four meals a day with three bottle of milk. Keeps mommy busy for sure!

Still taking 2 naps but the naps seem to be getting shorter and shorter! Usually it’s two hour long – but these days seem to be an hour or an hour and a half. Maybe he doesn’t need as much sleep anymore? I forget when did Munchkin#1 cut down to 1 nap. Maybe soon?

He’s been playing with everything. Even things he’s not suppose to – he shows interest in everything. I got to say – comparing my two boys – this one is definitely much more active than my first born! Even though my first born is very active – this one is extremely active. Hopefully it’s a good thing – so mommy can loose some weight chasing after him lol. That’s it for his 9 month update!

Have a FABULOUS day!!!

[Celebration] — Easter Sunday Dinner With InLaws

This dinner concludes our last event of Easter 2017! What an eventful and fun Easter we had this year! We ended our Easter with a lovely dinner at Monte Carlos hotel with the inlaws. It was a yummy four course dinner.

Munchkin#1 was busy with his dinner while Munchkin#2 kept busy with watching cartoons and somehow let his parents enjoy their dinner. What a bonus right?

The kids got really spoiled with surprise eggs as gifts from their grandparents. When I got home – I had to quickly hide them! Surprisingly till this date – Munchkin#1 does not remember receiving it! I’m just not a fan of my kids having too much sweet. The egg on the right – that size will last Munchkin#1 up to a whole year. Happy Easter to you all!

Have a TERRIFIC day!!!

[LifeStyle] — Good Friday 2017

We started off  Easter 2017 weekend with a relaxing Good Friday – spending just pure family time. We had no one or events to attend to and that is very rare. Normally our weekends are packed with things to do and people to see. Hubby & I enjoyed ‘our’ time – just a family of 4. We didn’t have to worry about the time.

We started the morning off with a Easter hunt. Instead of having Easter baskets – we had a Easter egg hunt. It is Munchkin#1s first egg hunt.. He had a lot of fun collecting eggs all around our home. Surprisingly – he never asked to eat any of the chocolates.

Had breakfast and lunch at home before we headed to the park for some outdoor fun.

We had the most perfect weather. It was super warm and sunny. After an hour or so – we headed back home to relax.

We had a late dinner because we snacked in between.

It was such a perfect relaxing day & we definitely need more of this. I’ll make sure it happens more often that we spend time like this as a family. There goes our fun & relaxing Good Friday – stay tune for more Easter events!

Have a BLISSFUL day!!!

[Jayden] — 5 Year & 1 Month Update

My baby looks so grown up these days – makes me teary to see how much he’s grown for the past 5 years.

He’s been eating more vegetables and fruits lately. I’ve made an effort to include fruits every dinner – so there’s no excuses in not eating fruits. Vegetables – I make sure I have it all cut up in his bowl of rice or pasta – he’s been more open to eat it. Doesn’t love it but he would eat it. It’s a good start. He understands that it’s healthy and good for you. I believe he’s learned that in school too. It’s all just an habit – I think in no time – he’ll have no problem with eating it.

Also – I’ve cut out after school snack. It is just so close to dinner time. I wanted him to have a proper meal instead of eating half his dinner. Just makes more sense that way.

I’ve given him a few more responsibilities. When he gets home – he puts everything away and takes out his lunch bag to put it in the counter. Sometimes he would clean after his baby brother when his baby brother makes a mess. Helps mommy put this and that in the washing machine, brings his bowls to the sink, and has been bathing on his own. Maybe soon – I’ll add in vacuuming? I believe introducing chores at an early age is a good thing – builds his habit up.

Since soccer ended up March – swimming has started late April. He was reluctant in going back to swimming because of the last swimming experience. We didn’t give him a choice – he just had to go back to swimming. After taking a few months off – I think it was enough time off. After his first class back – he is much more comfortable with new instructors and a new group of kids. I’m glad he is loving it again.

There’s a time to have fun and a time to do work. I truly believe that a routine in life is a must. In order to earn Ipad time – he does his writing in his workbook. Depending on his mood – he can do up to 10 pages a day. Than he goes onto reading a book. Not too much to ask for right? I remember before – I used to have to stress about getting him to write. After putting in a routine – he has been enjoying writing a lot more now. No need to raise my voice anymore.

He’s still not a big fan of sharing his toys or anything with baby brother – so we have to remind him on a daily basis.

He’s been coming up with hilarious sentences – kind of cracks his parents up. I enjoy hearing him say silly things or things we never heard him saying. It’s so cute to us. I think it’s a parent thing?

Have a WONDERFUL day!!!

[Kids] — Easter Play Date & Egg Decorating

We had a little Easter play date over the weekend with a few kids and decorated Easter eggs for the first time. It was my first time decorating too and same with most of the kids. It was a lot of fun!

I purchased all these at Walmart – very inexpensive. The fake eggs – looks so much like real eggs. At first I was debating if I should just boil real eggs but it would be such a waste. I know real eggs aren’t expensive but I’m not a fan of wasting food like that. So fake eggs is the way to go! We had a total of 24 eggs for 4 kids. That’s a lot but the Mamas had fun too!

My munchkin wasn’t a huge fan of painting eggs – he’s an OCD freak like his mommy. Lol – he did not like the paint in his hand and all over the place. He was over it after painting one egg. However – the girls had a lot of fun painting. Shall I say it’s a girl thing? I had fun painting a few eggs too!

So colorful and creative! Everyone got to bring a basket of eggs home.

The kids had lunch after painting and some play time too. Love how well they behaved.

Overall a fun experience – I cannot wait to do this again next year. It was a good amount of kids. Too many kids will be more hectic for sure. The girls are much more mature than the boys. They know what they were doing. Cheers to a fun Easter play date!

Have a WONDERFUL day!!!

[Jayden] — 5 Year Old Update :: Growing Up & Responsibilities

My 5 year old is a big boy now! He quickly adapted to being 5 so quick. Right on his birthday – we asked how old he is – his answer was “5 year old”.

He had three different birthday celebrations this month which he was very blessed with. He got to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ and blow the candle 3 times. Just like any other years – he has his actual kid’s party, a lunch or dinner with relatives, and celebrating his actual day with us. So so blessed!

The thing that comes out of his mouth is so funny sometimes. I would say mature in a way. He is definitely growing his vocabulary! I still remember those times when he started with 2-3 words when he was a little over one year old. Compare to now – he’s grown so much! I miss my baby being a baby!

His adores his baby brother is still the same! He’s quite funny because he enjoys playing with his baby brother’s toys and gadgets. He likes sitting in his high chair and swing. Just makes us laugh at his silliness!

He has gotten a lot more independent. As in putting things away when he comes home from school, puts dirty clothes in the laundry, puts dishes in the kitchen when he’s done with, helps us get this and that, clean up after himself, and etc… I’ve been thinking about developing some chores for him. Vacuuming? Folding laundry? The problem being is – by the time he gets home from school – all chores are already done and mommy doesn’t do chores on weekends. So far – I’m already proud that he’s picking up his own things. Sometimes he would help get this and that for baby brother too.

He got to experience his first Valentine’s Day in school this year. They had a dance in the gym and handed out Valentine’s Day cards. Which he came home with some and he told me he had fun.

Also – he got to experience his first field trip. I’m not sure how it went – he didn’t tell me much about it. The trip was about 3 hours long in the morning.

Since we’re talking about school – we’ll continue on this subject. He received his very first report card which made me teary! Yes teary because I am so proud of this Munchkin. In the beginning of the school year – he wasn’t doing so great which worried me. He wasn’t sitting still during carpet time and he wasn’t listening well. After a few months of changing bad habits and being so strict at home on him – it really did pay off. His report card proves that he’s excelling in school. Listening well and getting along with others. He loves learning too. After reading such a good report – we quickly bought him a reward that day. I was so proud of him! Excited for him! He’s never told me once that he didn’t like school. I hope after this reward – he’ll continue to excel in school. Rewards are only given when he works hard. I don’t believe in giving them whatever they want at any given time. That’s my opinion.

On another note he loves to act what the teacher does in school. Take attendance, bring attendance to office, and pretend to show and share.  I love watching it because it gives me an idea on what he is doing in school.

It’s March already – which means summer is around the corner. Well – 3 months away! I’ve thought and planned out his summer activities already. This Munchkin will be having a busy summer with activities and chilling with his friends. I’ll go into details on what he’ll be doing in a few months!

As for soccer – winter soccer season 2017 has officially ended! Munchkin loves soccer and we are so happy he enjoys it. He enjoys the interaction with other kids and listening to instructions. We cannot wait till summer 2017 season to start! That’s all for his 5 year old update or journal!

Have a WONDERFUL day!!!
