[Celebration] — Cayden’s 1st Birthday Party

What a blessed day getting to celebrate his FIRST birthday with families and friends. We had about 50 attendees that day and it was fun catching up with everyone!

Hubby’s friend came with a professional camera and took some decent photos with us. So this post includes both Iphone & professional photos. We are so grateful to have a friend take photos! Photos mean the world to especially me! Thank you so much Kev!

Kids had loads of fun chasing each other around. They all love the wagon!

Munchkin#2 was a bit nervous when we all sang “Happy Birthday” to him. All eyes were staring at him – I would be nervous too.

I am so glad to be hosting this birthday party with adults and kids. But next party – I will only keep it small to the kids. With a party this big – it’s so hard to catch up with everyone. A conversation could only last maximum 10 minutes. Having a small and intimate party is definitely easier but I won’t say I will never host a big party again. Friends and families play a big part of our lives – we wouldn’t be who we are without them! Thank you all for finding the time out of your busy schedule to come out & love these munchkins!

Have a FABULOUS day!!!

[DIY] — Planner Sheets of June 2017 to December 2017

Finally finished off with designing the rest of my planner of 2017. If you follow my blog long enough – you would know why I customize my own planner. I just like things my way. I’ve added a few new sections for the rest of 2017.  hydration (tracking down the amount of liquid I drink, workout (track my workout), and youtube. I have been doing videos again and uploading it privately for a month now. I just want to have snippet of our lives captured for memories. That’s really it for the edit version. It’s getting a lot busier – so keeping organize will keep the stress away.

Have a GRATEFUL day!!!

[LifeStyle] — Good Friday 2017

We started off  Easter 2017 weekend with a relaxing Good Friday – spending just pure family time. We had no one or events to attend to and that is very rare. Normally our weekends are packed with things to do and people to see. Hubby & I enjoyed ‘our’ time – just a family of 4. We didn’t have to worry about the time.

We started the morning off with a Easter hunt. Instead of having Easter baskets – we had a Easter egg hunt. It is Munchkin#1s first egg hunt.. He had a lot of fun collecting eggs all around our home. Surprisingly – he never asked to eat any of the chocolates.

Had breakfast and lunch at home before we headed to the park for some outdoor fun.

We had the most perfect weather. It was super warm and sunny. After an hour or so – we headed back home to relax.

We had a late dinner because we snacked in between.

It was such a perfect relaxing day & we definitely need more of this. I’ll make sure it happens more often that we spend time like this as a family. There goes our fun & relaxing Good Friday – stay tune for more Easter events!

Have a BLISSFUL day!!!

[Party Planning] — Donald Duck & Anchor Theme

I’m the crazy mom that plans my kids party months in advance. Well – in this case – I designed these Donald Ducks & Anchors before Munchkin#2 was born. So almost a year in advance? When I think of something – I have to do it right away.

Recently – I just printed these and now in the process of cutting it all out. Some may think – why don’t I just purchase everything? To be honest – I love the DIY-ing part of everything. I love the designing, cutting, and all the jazz of putting it all together. It’s fun to me. I put a lot of time in my kids birthday party. It’s rewarding when others appreciate what I do. On the other hand – I did search to see if there were any Donald Duck decorations out there – there is barely any. Stay tune to see how I put everything together when it’s closer to date! Do you love DIYs too?

Have a BEAUTIFUL day!!!

[DIY] — Easter Favors & Easter Baskets 2017

Easter is around the corner – how could I not shop for Easter right? Since my friend is hosting a kids Easter party at their place – I’ve decided to put together some Easter favor boxes for the kiddos. It’ll be a huge play date with some Easter activities.

I went to two places to pick up these items; Walmart & Dollarama.

These Easter favor boxes is almost complete – still need to add the small little egg chocolates in.

I’ve decided to pick up four of these Easter baskets for my kids god-siblings and cousin.

This is how it looks like after it being filled. It was a lot of fun putting everything together. This is also my first year doing Easter festivities. Stay tune – I’ll be sharing with you what I did for my kids Easter basket this year!

Have a BLISSFUL day!!!

[Jayden] — 5 Year Old Update :: Growing Up & Responsibilities

My 5 year old is a big boy now! He quickly adapted to being 5 so quick. Right on his birthday – we asked how old he is – his answer was “5 year old”.

He had three different birthday celebrations this month which he was very blessed with. He got to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ and blow the candle 3 times. Just like any other years – he has his actual kid’s party, a lunch or dinner with relatives, and celebrating his actual day with us. So so blessed!

The thing that comes out of his mouth is so funny sometimes. I would say mature in a way. He is definitely growing his vocabulary! I still remember those times when he started with 2-3 words when he was a little over one year old. Compare to now – he’s grown so much! I miss my baby being a baby!

His adores his baby brother is still the same! He’s quite funny because he enjoys playing with his baby brother’s toys and gadgets. He likes sitting in his high chair and swing. Just makes us laugh at his silliness!

He has gotten a lot more independent. As in putting things away when he comes home from school, puts dirty clothes in the laundry, puts dishes in the kitchen when he’s done with, helps us get this and that, clean up after himself, and etc… I’ve been thinking about developing some chores for him. Vacuuming? Folding laundry? The problem being is – by the time he gets home from school – all chores are already done and mommy doesn’t do chores on weekends. So far – I’m already proud that he’s picking up his own things. Sometimes he would help get this and that for baby brother too.

He got to experience his first Valentine’s Day in school this year. They had a dance in the gym and handed out Valentine’s Day cards. Which he came home with some and he told me he had fun.

Also – he got to experience his first field trip. I’m not sure how it went – he didn’t tell me much about it. The trip was about 3 hours long in the morning.

Since we’re talking about school – we’ll continue on this subject. He received his very first report card which made me teary! Yes teary because I am so proud of this Munchkin. In the beginning of the school year – he wasn’t doing so great which worried me. He wasn’t sitting still during carpet time and he wasn’t listening well. After a few months of changing bad habits and being so strict at home on him – it really did pay off. His report card proves that he’s excelling in school. Listening well and getting along with others. He loves learning too. After reading such a good report – we quickly bought him a reward that day. I was so proud of him! Excited for him! He’s never told me once that he didn’t like school. I hope after this reward – he’ll continue to excel in school. Rewards are only given when he works hard. I don’t believe in giving them whatever they want at any given time. That’s my opinion.

On another note he loves to act what the teacher does in school. Take attendance, bring attendance to office, and pretend to show and share.  I love watching it because it gives me an idea on what he is doing in school.

It’s March already – which means summer is around the corner. Well – 3 months away! I’ve thought and planned out his summer activities already. This Munchkin will be having a busy summer with activities and chilling with his friends. I’ll go into details on what he’ll be doing in a few months!

As for soccer – winter soccer season 2017 has officially ended! Munchkin loves soccer and we are so happy he enjoys it. He enjoys the interaction with other kids and listening to instructions. We cannot wait till summer 2017 season to start! That’s all for his 5 year old update or journal!

Have a WONDERFUL day!!!

[Cayden] — 8 Month Old Update ::

Here’s an update of my 8 month old Munchkin! I miss the days when he was tiny and just a 4-pounder! I’ll never get sick of saying that! He has tripled his weight. A little over 12 pound and very active boy! I’ve finally got time to clean out his 3 month old clothes. It all went to donation. He is onto 6-9 month clothes.

I think this will be the last month I’ll be using the baby bath angel because my child is too active. He loves kicking the water and sometimes slides out. He’ll be able to use the baby tub and play in there freely. He loves water!

He’s eating well. Eats 4 times a day and about 1.5 serving each + fruits after certain meals. I tend to feed him more during the before bed feeding – so he sleeps longer without waking up in the middle of the night. Talking about sleep. He’s been a great sleeper! Mommy is so blessed that both my boys sleep so well! He sleeps around 10-11 hours per night. Once in awhile he’ll wake up and cry in the night. But falls back to sleep.

Loves to give you the serious face but yet smiles a lot! He’s not a crier but he definitely cries more than his big brother. He loves sitting and standing. He’s been enjoying a lot more of his toys. Loves to touch and push buttons. Loves mommy spending time with him and playing with him.

Oh – one big milestone this month is he knows how to crawl! YUP – we are officially in trouble because I gotta be extra careful with tiny little things. He loves putting everything in his mouth. He is attracted to wires and controllers. He does get more freedom to crawl everywhere he wants. But the other thing is – he does get into his big brothers toys – which his big brother doesn’t like. They’ll need to learn how to work this out. Hahahah.

His third tooth is spouting out and it’s getting more dangerous. He doesn’t bite me all the time but once in awhile. It sure does hurt!

Still very clingy to mommy. When I am home – he prefers me. But when I’m out – he prefers his daddy than anyone else. It feels cute because we feel that kind of importance when he wants us.

That’s really it for this month. He’s keeping me busy for sure! We cannot wait till the weather gets warmer so we can go out for walks and breathe more fresh air! Please slow down on growing up – I just want to hold you a little longer baby boy!

Have a GRATEFUL day!!!

[Lifestyle] — DIY 2017 Planner

Here I am sharing my DIY 2017 planner! You may ask – why do I even bother with all the work when I can pay a few bucks for one? The answer to that is – I like things my style & my way. I like the finishing touches to it. I like to have things plan according to my way. I like the colors I use.

I purchased the Quo Vadis planner for a few years back. Love the pink leather cover! Most importantly – I like the small size of it. I like things handy and convenient. I like to carry my planner out either if I’m running errands or grocery shopping. I re-use the pink cover but repurchased the papers inside.

From what I remember – it was $15. Doesn’t make much sense to put paper over a planner right? Well the original calenders/day to day sheets are so boring and not my style. I purchased it – so I can DIY my own.

This is the order I have my life planned. I plan my meals, groceries, weekly to-do’s, outings, school, extra curricular, next week meals, reminders, and blog all in one section! I like to look at everything instead of flipping pages.

I have these DIY sheets done every few months – so I can adjust to my needs. If its summer – I can take out the school section if I want. Or I can add other stuff too. Also – it is color co-ordinated by month.

Is this call a lot of work? I consider not because I enjoy it. I enjoy being organized to the max! Having a planner to me is super duper important. My whole life is in it. Well – sort of! Haha.

What’s my secret for a stress-free life? Be super duper organized and plan ahead! Always think a few steps ahead! Sometimes I plan meals 2 weeks in advance too! How do you organize your life? Comment below to share!

Have a WONDERFUL day!!!

[Celebration] — Jayden’s 5th Birthday Party

Celebrated our son’s 5th birthday party on March.5th.2017, a Sunday afternoon. This was his third 5th birthday celebration. We are very grateful to celebrate his special day with all his little friends – thank god it was the last celebration till next year! I believe this party is his most looked forward for because it includes all his favorite little friends. We even got a helium tank to fill up over 12 medium size balloons this year. All the kids were so happy to bring one home too!

For the menu – I focused more on what the adults would love to eat because – let’s be honest – the kid wasn’t here for the food! They can careless of what they eat. They were here to play with each other and explore different toys. Most importantly the birthday song and cake cutting.

The older kids got to do an art & craft which lasted about 5 to 10 minute long. Yes – these crafty things gotta be fast because their patience is only so limited. There were about 12 kids total – including ours as well. I was so surprised that they played so nicely and quietly. No one was shouting or arguing. The Mama’s got to chill and catch up while the Daddys’ got to play video games!

All the kids were so excited about the Minion cake – it was deliciously made and bought from T&T Supermarket! Not too sweet or too creamy either. Definitely will be purchasing their birthday cakes from there from now on! Can’t believe our first born is 5 already! We love celebrating with these kids every year – it’s the same bunch of kids that grew up together and we add in a few new friends every year.

Look at these kiddos! I can’t wait to plan the next party!

Have a BLISSFUL day!!!

[Kids] — School Lunches Ideas • Junior Kindergarten & Young Kids

This post – I’ll be sharing some kindergarten/little kids lunch ideas with you. I try my hardest to keep each lunch healthy and different.

I like keeping my son’s lunches healthy – well what better than raising healthy kids right? Habits are start when they’re little. Plus school did mention about healthy eating. Some school is as strict as no gold fishes & juices. Thank goodness that’s not my son’s school because he has a limited variety of snacks he likes.

g0236 g0237 g0238

Chicken & Spinach Alfredo Pasta       |       Chicken Pasta      |       Honey Garlic Chicken Wrap

My son doesn’t ‘like’ vegetables but sometimes I still include a small amount in his lunch and hoping he would eat it. Got to take it one step at a time right? During meals at home, with my guidance, he doesn’t have a choice. He must eat it because its healthy. Strict mom much? I’m strict because I refuse to make 2 different lunches or 2 different dinners. He’s got to eat whatever I serve for dinner period. Why give myself more work to do – when I don’t have to?

Every morning after I finish putting my son’s lunch together – I would snap a photo to remind myself what kind of drinks, snacks, or lunch I packed him for reference. I try to give him different snacks each day as well.

g0239 g0240 g0241

Homemade Banana Bread       |       Meatballs        |       Pasta with Tomato Sauce & Ground Beef

The school advised us to put numbers on their snacks & lunch. Number 1 is morning snack, 2 is lunch, and 3 is afternoon snack. Just a easier way for the kiddos to get what they need to.

Anyways there’s a trick with the snacks. I like giving my son a light snack in the morning – so by the time lunch hits – he’s hungry and would finish most of his lunch. I give a heavier snack in the afternoon in case he didn’t finish his lunch and he would still be hungry. That’s how I place his snacks. Do you mommies do the same too?

For drinks – its either a juice or a yogurt drink. I give apple juice once a week due to the amount of sugar it has. My son loves both drinks. Never is picky on which one to have.

g0242 g0243 g0244

Mini Sausage Buns       |       Chocolate Chip Blueberry Muffins       |       Chinese Sausage Bun

On special occasions – such as birthday, Christmas and etc – I’ll put in some kind of chocolate or a bag of chips for treats for him. Only on special occasions! I don’t allow much chocolate or chips at home either. Those are treated as rewards given when he deserves it.

Before my son started school – my fear would be 1) he wouldn’t eat his lunch at all 2) he would be starving till he gets home from school. Yes – us parents constantly worry about everything!

Good thing is – most lunches come home 95% finished. Makes me happy that hes eating. He enjoys hot food more than cold food.He loves his rice and pastas. He hasn’t requested what he wants to have for lunches yet but I know he will one day.

g0245 g0246 g0247

Fried Rice       |       Ground Pork Pasta       |       Pasta with Tomato Sauce & Ground Beef

I usually prepare his lunch the night before – so in the morning I just microwave it. Just gives me 10 to 15 minutes more sleep each morning.

I do believe starting healthy eating at a young age for kids. It is easier to develop good habits. Don’t get me wrong – we do indulge in cheeseburgers, pizzas, fries and all those unhealthy food – but having those once a week is good enough to satisfy our cravings. Just got to remember, balance, balance, and balance. Just to remind you all – I’m no dietitian expert – this is fully my opinion on how I raise my own kids. Making good choices for your kids is what parents should do!

I think I cover quite a lot here. Feel free to share your kids healthy lunches in the comment below! Stay tune for more fun hauls & reviews!

Have a TERRIFIC day!!!

[Lifestyle] — 8 Month Postpartum • #MomLife & Side Tracked

Finally getting back on track with my blogging. I’m glad life is back to normal.

It’s already my 8 month postpartum! I haven’t done anything regarding my weight yet. Not quite sure about my weight but I did start eating healthy for breakfast and sometime lunches. In order to build good habits – I got to do it in a slow process. Eating healthy one meal at a time is what I am doing now. I cannot cut carbohydrates yet because I am still breast feeding. Overall – everything in slow process. Will be adding in work out soon.

My mood last month was all over the place. I don’t want to explain too much here. Basically my time was disturbed. My schedule and routine was off. When I don’t do things in a structure routine – I feel like my whole self is messed up. Does that even make sense? Anyways – I’m never gonna feel sorry for anyone anymore, because its just not worth my time.

My main focus is raising my boys to be respectful, loving, and caring human beings. Providing a normal and happy family for them and my husband is my number one goal.

As for my milk supply – it had decreased quite a bit. I’m not too worried about it because Munchkin#2 has started solids for two months now. His solids substitutes for the milk. He only drinks milk before a naps or before bedtime or early in the morning. Basically 4-5 times a day.

I think I’ve mentioned that I would start pumping. I’m having different thoughts now. Its quite overwhelming with pumping because I need to wash the pump every day. I’m busy enough with feeding solids 4x a day, baths, entertaining munchkin#2, cooking meals, daily chores, Munchkin#1s school stuff + workbook and a whole lot of stuff that I cannot think of right now. Lol so yeah – I cannot sit on my ass all day and do nothing. Things will start piling up.

As for my sleep – it has been quite good ever since sleep training Munchkin#2 last month. Sleeping through the night is amazing but at times I still do wake up in between because Munchkin#2 still sometime cries in the middle of the night. I’ve stopped nursing the mid-night feeds.

The weather has been so cold lately – I’ve been basically home almost every day. If you ask if I can stay home every day 3 to 4 years ago – I would say no. But now – I love being home. I love being in my pajamas all day long with my messy hair. I can always find something to do. But than again – I cannot wait till Spring and Summer where I can bring the kids to parks and different activities.

Its so different having 1 kid verse 2 kids. A lot more to think about and plan. As long as I am organized it cuts out the stress for me. So far my kids are easy to take care of.

I’m grateful to have girlfriends come over to chill 2-3 times a month. Everyone has their busy schedule and I don’t expect to see them as often. But when we do see each other – its like a catch up session. Its awesome!

Last – hair loss has stopped! Finally! I don’t see my hair flying everywhere or on the floor much. But my baby hair is sticking up – which is annoying. Haha. Grow faster!

That’s all for my 8 month postpartum. I am so grateful and blessed for this simple life God has given me! Please keep my 3 boys healthy and happy always!

Have a BLISSFUL day!!!

[Travels] — Gran Bahia Principe Coba • Mexico, Cancun • Day 4

WHAT? I’m on day 4 already? Half the trip flew by just like that. I told my hubby – one week on vacation is really not enough. We should try 7-8 days next time. I was a little home sick by day 4 but really I only missed sleeping on my comfy bed. Not saying that our bed at our resort room wasn’t comfy. Its just nothing beats it when its your own right?

We’ve woke up quite early throughout our trip – so every day we had an early start. Did the usual except we went to another beach location at our resort. Not the private part of the beach – the one that everyone can go to.

We also found where the dolphins were! It was super cool to have dolphins on site – we never experienced that before! Hubby didn’t wanna ride the dolphins and so didn’t Munchkin#1. So we ended up watching the dolphins do a few tricks then headed back to the beach.

Our dinner that night was at the Brazilian restaurant. One of hubbys’ fave. They served a lot of meat on your plate. I liked everything except for the turkey – it was a bit too rough. Overall another amazing experience. Brings us back to our last resort vacation back in May 2015 where they had brazilian dining outdoors.

That was it for day 4. Stay tune for the next 3 more days. I love blogging about our experiences because to be honest – we do get mixed up where we’ve been to – since we’ve gone to so many different resorts at different locations. Thanks for stopping by!

Have a TERRIFIC day!!!

[Travels] — Gran Bahia Principe Coba • Mexico, Cancun • Day 3

The days are going by super fast – seems like our vacation is ending soon too! Nothing really much different than day 2. Our routine was much less than the same except our dinner restaurant.

We reserved our a la carte dinner at 6:30PM at Mikado Japanese restaurant. Since we are privilege membership holders – we could reserve as many a la carte restaurants as we like. We booked these restaurants 3 weeks in advance. There’s a lot of perks of being a privilege member & we love it.

We had some sushi & sashimi appetizers to start off with and the rest was Tappanyaki. As always – the chef put on a show for all of us. These chef has some skills! Munchkin#1 was exhausted that he didn’t eat much of his dinner. While Munchkin#2 fell asleep half way through our dinner. I give it a 7/10 peacefulness for our dinner. I mean – welcome to parenthood! After dinner we headed straight back to our room & passed out. Stay tune for day 4!

[Celebration] — Our 2016 Christmas Morning

Still catching up with Christmas events! I finally got things settle and am back to my regular schedule! Woohoo! Anyways – this was a very special Christmas for all of us. It was our second son’s first Christmas & It was the first Christmas that we introduce Santa to our first son. He was believing in everything – he even saw a little clip with Santa on a sleigh and reindeer flying in the sky. It was SO magical for him! It was so amazing to watch! I love it! I never got to know or experience Santa’s magical fairytale and I am so glad my boys get to experience it!

Christmas morning is just for our family only – it’s a day where we spent it opening presents in the morning in our matching pajamas. It’ll be one of our traditions that started last year. My heart is so warm and happy watching my boys grow and be happy.

This Munchkins’ 1st Christmas – look at that cheerful boy! We had an eventful morning – Santa brought everyone presents! Munchkin#1 helped with opening baby brothers’ presents too. I don’t need anything else because I have my family – they are my everything! Can’t wait for 2017 Christmas in about 10 months! Are you excited for Christmas in 10 months? Lol – I must be a little crazy!

Have a BLISSFUL day!!!
