Its October 2017 already! That means the year is ending in about two months! We are so grateful for the life we have. We’ve met a lot of new friends this year, kept in touch with old friends & connected again with some friends in our past.
One thing that has become a habit of mine is seeing the girlfriends more each week. Some weeks are three times a week when time permits. Since Munchkin#2 is more independent now – I’m not too worried leaving him home with Hubby. Besides when I am not home – both my boys behaved better. They like to either give me a hard time or bully me. But at the end of the day – they both still need mommy. I love that feeling of being needed! The importance of motherhood? Going out more and having adult conversation is so important. It’s like refreshment for me. Lunches, dinners, or pamper time at the spa is always a good time with the girlfriends. I am so blessed and fortunate for their friendships. Authentic friendship is hard to come by. I just like the company of honest and genuine people. Not too much to ask for in friendships right? At this point in life – there’s really no negative people or things going on – I am truly bless with that! I delete negative – if I feel negative. Or shall I say – I am allergic to negative? Spending time with girlfriends is awesome and I’ve taken a new interest in drinking wine! Girlfriends + catch ups + food + wine = a goooooood time!
Anyways – Halloween is coming & I’ve kept busy preparing for this. Decorating my home, loot bags for the kids at school, loot bags for friends’ kids, and making party plans. Halloween is usually all about the kids while the parents organize the parties & bring them out for trick or treating. One thing I do wish is that Halloween can be on a Saturday every year. Will make the parents life so much easier.
I’m already shopping for Christmas since last month to avoid any unnecessary stress from crowded malls. I do it early every year.
What’s new? Just mainly focusing on life. Staying positive and happy always because life is too short for any unnecessary nonsense.
Both my boys are happy and healthy. A bit too spoiled by everyone around us & I hope one day they know that and appreciate everything they have. Unconditional love and care they get from our families and friends is a blessing.
As for my Stepmom’s ALS situation – I pray for her every day that there will be a cure as soon as possible. There has to be a cure soon because there’s an increase of people that’s getting ALS. They need to have a cure. Her living situation is better & is being cared for properly. I am so grateful for that – gives me less worries.
Hubby is doing great. He’s getting more opportunities to climb up the ladder in his field. He loves what he does and enjoys it. I’m happy for him. Although I prefer he works at home half the time but his agreement is that he will in the future.
Can’t believe 2018 is coming! What an awesome 2017 has it been. Can’t wait to dress up my home with Christmas decorations. I love to feel like a Winter Wonderland at my place. Love having people over to celebrate. I just love everything about Christmas!
Have a GRATEFUL day!!!
Sharing a large Costco haul today.
This is my second time re-purchasing Kirkland Keurig breakfast blend k-cups. I love how long a box of these lasts me – with 100 cup – it will last me up to 3 months!
I saw this big bin of coleslaw when I walked by the cold fridge – decided to give it a try. Oh boy – those were super sour! It was about $8.00 for a huge bin of coleslaw – make sure you have a few dinner parties – otherwise you would never finish it. I won’t be repurchasing this because it’s too sour for my family.
Have a BEAUTIFUL day!!!

Been awhile since I blog about beauty! I re-purchased a few makeup products from Sephora when mines ran out. I can’t live without the Kat Von D liquid eyeliner & concealer! It is definitely a must have! I returned the Tarte SPF30 sunscreen – since my girlfriend introduced me to a Japanese one.
Onto my second part of the haul which is the photo on the right. My girlfriend introduced me to all of those skin care & CC Cream. Biore UV sunscreen is a MUST have! I did a first impression review on it already – go back a few pages of my blog to check that one out! Other than that – I had the pleasure to try 3 different products. I feel so blessed to have girlfriends introducing me to new beauty products!
Have a TERRIFIC day!!!

Can you say food overload much? Yes – all the dim sum our friends brought over was crazy – we all had two meals out of it. Lunch & dinner – I had to make sure they finished it up before leaving our place! It was a fun & relaxing day – main goal was to catch up with everyone. Relaxing led to being lazy! But it’s all good! Hard to get everyone together unless it’s special occasions – so it was awesome getting to catch up!
Have a BEAUTIFUL day!!!
A super belated haul from a few months ago – I totally forgot about these stickers I purchased long ago. This is the third and largest haul I’ve purchased from them. Since I made my first two orders from this shop – I know exactly the sizes they have. I’m a bit OCD – so I want my icon stickers in the same measurements.
I ordered a few different types of stickers instead of just icon stickers this time. I purchased vacation countdown, weekend banners, and rectangle and square empty boxes.
Loved everything I ordered. Two things I love about this shop is – the shipping is inexpensive and the stickers are much more affordable than other shops. It’s about $2.50 to $3.00 per sheet. I highly recommend you this shop – it’s an etsy shop – easy to google! I will for sure be ordering from her again!
Have a FABULOUS day!!!

Chuck E Cheese for these two munchkins was a bonus treat for them. Well minus one that was mainly napping. My girlfriend suggested a fun day out at Chuck E Cheese for the kids. Aren’t they lucky or what?
Glad they got to have fun and bond. We didn’t get to see Layla much this summer because of her full day pre-school. Till next time!
Have a GRATEFUL day!!!
My son loves all types of transportation – so riding the Toronto Museum Train was a must on the list. The mini train seriously is nothing much but he still got very excited. An adult must be riding it with him – it cost $6.00 for the both of them. Whatever makes your kid happy right? I believe it was less than a 5 minute ride around the area.
After the mini train ride – Ripley Aquarium was our next destination. We’ve wanted to visit this place for awhile – so fitting it into our summer calendar was a must.
My whole family was excited when we got to the entrance. The tanks of fishes were so gorgeous! There’s so much to learn and see. I am sure that both munchkins’ will have class trips in the future here.
My faves were the jellyfishes. So unique and interesting. The play area was small and crowded but that doesn’t stop my son for having fun and playing with other kids.
We bought some candies at the gift shop to end our fun day out. We took about 2.5 hour to walk through the whole aquarium. If we had more time – I think I’ll go through it one more time. It’s a nice place to go once but I’m not sure if I want to revisit? Maybe in a few years?
Have a GRATEFUL day!!!
Another year older & another year wiser. So glad we got to spend another year on this special day with Munchkin#1s godfather. It has become somewhat of a tradition for us.
We didn’t get to spend much time due to camp the next day but we did spend quality time. I’ve know this guy since my college years which I was 19 years old back then. I can’t believe it’s been 10 amazing years knowing him. Thanks for being genuine & just being you. That’s what we adore of you – simply being yourself!
Have a SPECIAL day!!!
Fun day at Wilcox Lake Park with the kiddos. It was our first time here and boy was it busy! It’s a nice park with picnic area, barbecue area, park area, and Water Park. A pathway to walk near the lake too. Too bad we didn’t have enough time – Hubby wanted to take a walk around the lake area.
It was a nice little get together before all the kids start school again. Hopefully next time it won’t be as busy!
Have a FABULOUS day!!!
Fun day out with Thomas was planned a few months before summer break. I think we purchased the tickets in April? Crazy mommies we are! Anything for our kid’s right? Thank goodness for good weather overall. It didn’t rain long and the sun was shining bright and hot.
I didn’t tell Munchkin#1 where we were going till he found out himself. I just couldn’t bare listening to “are we there now!” Lol. Mom life much?
My thoughts of this ‘Day out with Thomas’ was quite disappointing. I expected a little more than what it is. The train had disappointing decorations. What was attracting was only the head of the train. The activities they had on the street was alright. A short little street.
Overall the kids enjoy experiencing it together and had fun. For the parents – we don’t feel like it’s worth the money. Have you been there? What are your thoughts? Comment below to share!
Have a WONDERFUL day!!!
