This dinner concludes our last event of Easter 2017! What an eventful and fun Easter we had this year! We ended our Easter with a lovely dinner at Monte Carlos hotel with the inlaws. It was a yummy four course dinner.
Munchkin#1 was busy with his dinner while Munchkin#2 kept busy with watching cartoons and somehow let his parents enjoy their dinner. What a bonus right?
The kids got really spoiled with surprise eggs as gifts from their grandparents. When I got home – I had to quickly hide them! Surprisingly till this date – Munchkin#1 does not remember receiving it! I’m just not a fan of my kids having too much sweet. The egg on the right – that size will last Munchkin#1 up to a whole year. Happy Easter to you all!
Have a TERRIFIC day!!!

I celebrated my birthday this year at Cancun, Mexico with my three loves. It was my first time celebrating my birthday out of the country. Kind of cool! The staff decorated my room and left a heart shape birthday cake. It was very special. We had a relaxing and fun day! I love spending quality time with my family!
When I got back from our trip – I had a belated birthday dinner with my in-laws at Baton Rouge. Munchkin#1 got to sing me ‘Happy Birthday’ again. I love it!
How do I feel about being 28? To be honest – after having kids – age is just really a number. The only thing that concerns me is to maintain my skincare and not look too old. Lol. Twenty eight is pretty close to 30s for sure. But I’m already very blessed with two healthy kids & a loving husband. What more can I ask for right?
However, I’m greedy and I have one wish this year. I wish my stepmom and every ALS patient on this earth will have a cure. That’ll be my wish every year. Might be greedy to ask but they deserve to be alive.
Have a WONDERFUL day!!!

I’ve done a review on this restaurant a year or two ago. Nothing spectacular – just your average Hong Kong style café.
My husband ordered the sizzling steak platter with fries. While I had the tomato sauce pork chop on rice. Both meals came with a soup and drink.
The price is average here – if you’re craving for some Hong Kong style comfort food – this is the place to go. The service is fast and attentive too. Have you been here? I have to say this is the very first time trying authentic Italian food and it’s quite interesting. I’ve been having the non-authentic Italian food for a long time now and the real thing is actually really different from what I have been having.
Do I enjoy it? I say half half because I’m not used to it. We ordered a cheese fondue to share and a mushroom soup. Mushroom soup was amazing and the cheese fondue was interesting too and filling!
The pasta I ordered was homemade and seems to be on the hard side. I like my pasta soft and that’s just my preference. It’s not the chef’s problem. Other than that – the meat balls were delicious and huge!!
Overall an amazing experience. The portion they serve here is huge and we ordered an appetizer – so no one on our table finishes their plate of food. We did have a wonderful experience and will definitely be returning to try their other pastas. Would definitely recommend this place to all of you! Visited the Golden Duke Chinese Cuisine a couple weeks ago and I’m quite disappointed. We celebrated a family member’s birthday here and ordered from their set dinner menu. We ordered the six people menu for $188.00+tax. There is a lot of food but the food they served was quite blend and practical.
I find it quite overpriced as well. With over $200 dinner – we could have had better quality food than this. I’m just not thrilled. Would you say it’s quite pricey? What are your thoughts on this? Comment below to share! However I do love their customer service – staffs were really attentive and alert. Celebrated Winter Solstice twice this year. First with my husband’s relatives on December 17th 2014 and my Step-family on December 23rd 2014.
Celebration is all about food and families gathering together. As the Chinese says – Winter Solstice is a lot more important than the Chinese New Year. I’m not even sure why this is. We celebrated Winter Solstice a five days early with the relatives. Tried a new Chinese restaurant in town and to my surprise the food is actually really good comparing it to other Chinese restaurants we’ve been to.
As with my Stepfamily – we celebrated a day late which was no big deal. I prefer it being a day late rather than being in a crazy busy Chinese restaurant where service is next to nothing. I wasn’t expected to celebrate Winter Solstice with my Stepfamily last year but with my Stepmom coming back for an emergency spinal cord surgery – we could celebrate it last year. She’s usually in China around this time of the year for her business. So it’s really hard to get together on special occasions like this since she’s busy. I’m grateful to spend time with my Stepfamily.
There goes another wonderful celebration with families. I love spending family time with them – it just warms my heart. How did you celebrate Winter Solstice? Comment below to share! Stay tune for my daily posts – this blog is updated every single day at 12PM Eastern Time! Thanks for dropping by!

#NOMNOMNOM. This was my first time at Kelsey’s for lunch – I usually do dinner here. I got to say their lunch menu is quite large and lots to choose from.
I ordered the Messy Chicken Sandwich and it was delicious! The chicken was juicy and tender. It’s just very mouth watering and I loved it. Quite messy but I would re-order it again. My meal came with a soup – since I opted for the fries. Yummy soup also.
Will definitely be back very soon to devour that chicken sandwich again. Service was amazing too – nothing to complain about. Have you been to Kelsey’s!? Love or hate? Comment below to share! Meanwhile stay tune for more blog posts – this blog is updated daily. Thanks for dropping by!!

Shanghai food is one of my favorite cuisines and when there’s a new restaurant around – I’ve got to go try it out! This new Shanghai restaurant is the same franchise as Ding Tai Fung from First Markham Place. I’ve done a review on Ding Tai Fung and you can read it HERE. Xiao Long Bao is located at Brimley Road and Huntingwood Drive, Scarborough – a few shops next to Besco.
To my surprise – the quality of all these dishes we ordered was amazing! Everything was fresh and it’s comparable to Ding Tai Fung. I mean – of course – they might be owned by the same owner too. Don’t quote me on that though. The price is the same as Ding Tai Fung also – quite on the expensive side but you are also getting the quality of food. Service was good too – they always had someone there when we needed anything. There’s even someone that opens the door for you when you get in and get out. Quite a large restaurant and the interior are quite bright. We sat on the side where we couldn’t see the chef making the dim sum – so no pictures!
I definitely recommend this place to try out – lots to choose from on the menu! My favorite dish was the beef burritos! Not sure what it’s actually called! Have you visited Xiao Long Bao yet? If you did – what’s your favorite on the menu?? Comment below to share your favorite!! Stay tune for more restaurant reviews & adventures! This blog is updated regularly. Thanks for stopping by!!!

Saturday = lunch with relatives! This is actually my second visit to the Paramount Restaurant & Banquet Hall. One thing that attracted me was the lovely chandeliers! I just #LOVELOVELOVE it! One day – I’ll be having one of those sparkly chandeliers in my own home! The interiors of this restaurant are bright and elegant but of course it’s the quality of food that makes customers come back.
I find that the first time I’ve visited compare to the second time I’ve visited – the food quality seems to be a lot fresher on my first visit. Did the chef changed? Other than that – this restaurant does have some unique dim sum.
I would definitely recommend this Chinese Restaurant – worth a visit if you haven’t! I adore those square shaped dim sum trays! It’s just different than the regular circle ones. Ill for sure be revisiting and next time I’ll let you know what my favorite is! Have you visited the Paramount Restaurant & Banquet Hall? If so – what’s your thoughts on it? Comment below to share! I’ve always called Toronto Island “Center Island” and never knew it is actually called Toronto Island. It’s weird to me because I grew up only knowing the name as Center Island. Never mind on that – I’ll just get used to it.
We decided to go to Toronto Island this year instead of the Canadian National Exhibition. There’s really not much to do at the Canadian National Exhibition – except walk, eat, play games, and shop. But as for Toronto Island – it’s much more toddler friendly. They have a mini amusement park, Water Park, playground, beach, and lots of land to run around on.
We spent about three hours there with my in-laws too. The weather was perfect – not too sunny or hot. Munchkin had a blast absorbing everything in and checking out new things. It’s also his first time on a boat too!! He learned a new word that day “BOAT”. I love going on these little adventures – he learns quite a lot! Love seeing that smile on his face!
Overall – I prefer going to Toronto Island over the Canadian National Exhibition. What would you prefer? Comment below to share with me. Meanwhile – come back again – this blog is updated every single day at 12PM Eastern Time!

#THROWBACK event! Another #THROWBACK event! This one is another special one! Do you know why?? It is our son’s first time celebrating mid-autumn! Of course that is special! All his firsts is special to me! I can’t get over how cute he is! He was only half a year old and could barely sot up on his own. How time flies – I wish he was still that tiny!!
We celebrated mid-autumn at my husband’s aunt and uncles’ place that year.
What are even more special are the moon cakes. The restaurant chain is very daring to my heart. Casa Victoria is where Hubby & I got married at. Casa Imperial was where our son held his first month celebration dinner. Both very pretty restaurants for sure and very special to us.
We had an enjoyable night that night spending family time and taking lots of pictures for memories. It was a fun and relaxing night! Must have more of these this year!

Hands down!! Baton Rouge is one of my faves!!! Their baked potatoes are to die for! That is one of the reasons why! Or can I say the main reason! They have the best baked potatoes and it cannot be compared to! Or well – I didn’t find another restaurant to compare to yet! Anyways – yes – the main reason why I love Baton Rouge so much is their baked potatoes. Do you agree with me on that? Comment below!
Back to my review – I just got so hyped up about baked potatoes. Do you think I’m a crazy blogger or what? Lol. I live how Baton Rouge has set dinners. Not all the time but most of the time. They serve a choice of soup or salad, you get to choose a main course, and it comes with a dessert. I’m not a fan of the dessert – it’s a chocolate mousse and every time it’s the same dessert! They need to work on the varieties of desserts!
Baton Rouge is on top of my fave list for sure. I always make a reservation before going for dinner. In case it’s fully packed. I find the prices quite reasonable too. So if you haven’t been to a Baton Rouge. Definitely give it a try – they are located everywhere – just check their website here to find a location near you.
Typing up this blog post makes me so hungry! A baked potato is due to be in my mouth very soon!! Hehehe! Have you been to Baton Rouge before? If so – what is your all time favorites? Stay tune for more foodie adventures! This blog is updated every single day at 12PM Eastern time!

Red Lobster is one of my Husbands’ favorite restaurants to dine in. For me – it’s only so-so. Since he’s a lobster lover – any restaurant that serves lobsters is his fave.
Anyhow – we dined at Red Lobster with our Hong Kong relatives – they somehow love this restaurant too. The last time I’ve been here – the menu was very different.
I ordered the three lobster tail meal with baked potato. The lobster tail seems to be on the tiny side. I was still hungry after finishing up my meal.
They have a couple of four course meals to choose from at $18.99 – comes with salad, soup, choice of entrée, and a dessert.
Overall – a very enjoyable dinner. Our server was quite tentative and came to talk to us a few times. Asked if it was a celebration and interacted with our two year old. Red Lobster is a family oriented restaurant and the hospitality was excellent! Are you a crazy lobster fan?? Any recommendation to where to dine at? I know there are two popular places that we still need to try. Lobster Trap & the Fisherman House. Feel free to leave comment below for recommendations!
Have a LOVELY day!!!

This is going to be s long blog post with loads of photo. I decided to combine Father’s day dinner with the in-laws with lunch outing with the Hong Kong relatives into one blog post.
As for lunch – it was my first time there. We made reservations two days in advance and good thing we did because it was SUPER busy! They have a wide range of selection to pick from. Mostly set lunches but I didn’t pick from the set lunch special because I just wanted something small for lunch.
I’ve dined at Monte Carlos La Piazzetta before and love the food here. My in-laws picked the restaurant to celebrate early father’s day. To my surprise – the price for a set dinner was quite interesting. For a four course meal set that includes lobster and steak was $21.99+tax+tips. What a steal! The steak was juicy and the lobster was a good size too. Nothing to complain about at all. I ordered the cream chowder instead of the lobster bisque soup. It came with a piece of cake for dessert which I took a bite of. Not a fan of desserts and lastly – we ended the night off with a drink.
Overall – a very enjoyable dinner that night minus a little whinny from our two year old. But thank goodness there were people singing on stage – so that took some of his crankiness away.
Service was quick and food was good. I think we’ll be visiting this restaurant much more often. Blogging about the steak and lobster dinner makes my mouth super watery now! I highly recommend you to make reservation because this restaurant isn’t too big! Stay tune for more restaurant adventures & reviews. This blog is updated every single day at 12PM Eastern time! It’s been a crazy long time that I haven’t visited this restaurant! To the point that I didn’t even know they expanded! There are quite a lot of Shanghai restaurants and we usually go to New Northern Dumplings. Anyhow – the expansion is nice – a lot more room and tables. On a weekday – it was quite pack.
We ordered a set dinner for the 7 of us. Food was good and at a good size portion too. We have nothing to complain about. Dinner for seven people was about $130.00 with lots of leftovers. Quite reasonable eh?
Advice to you is – they don’t accept credit card – only debit and cash. Try to call in for a reservation before going – this restaurant is quite busy! They recently open a franchise inside Pacific Mall! Check out their new location. Stay tune for more restaurant adventures & reviews!
Have a YUMMILICIOUS day!!!
