[Celebration] — Labour Day

Can you say food overload much? Yes – all the dim sum our friends brought over was crazy – we all had two meals out of it. Lunch & dinner – I had to make sure they finished it up before leaving our place! It was a fun & relaxing day – main goal was to catch up with everyone. Relaxing led to being lazy! But it’s all good! Hard to get everyone together unless it’s special occasions – so it was awesome getting to catch up!

Have a BEAUTIFUL day!!!

[Summer Fun] — Chuck E Cheese

Chuck E Cheese for these two munchkins was a bonus treat for them. Well minus one that was mainly napping. My girlfriend suggested a fun day out at Chuck E Cheese for the kids. Aren’t they lucky or what?

Glad they got to have fun and bond. We didn’t get to see Layla much this summer because of her full day pre-school. Till next time!

Have a GRATEFUL day!!!

[Summer Fun] — Barrie Hill Farm & Wasaga Beach

What a wonderful time at Barrie Hill Farm with our friends! It was our first time picking blueberries and strawberries. At first – hubby wasn’t too thrilled about the idea but he ended up enjoying it.

Munchkin#1 did not pick anything because he is OCD and didn’t want to touch anything. His job was to hold the bucket while his parents collected the goods. He had a lot of fun with his friend running around the farm.

After around 3 hours being at the farm – we headed for lunch at our friends Japanese restaurant. We had such an amazing meal – all of us were stuffed!

We stopped by Wasaga for about 2 hours after lunch. The water was quite cold but the kids still loved it.
What an amazing fun day out with our friends and we got to meet some new friends too.

Have a LOVELY day!!!

[Celebration] — Kendra & Ryan’s Wedding

We joined our two good friends on their special day of their lives! What an honor to witness their unconditional love that day!

Started off the day at church – which was the most important part of the day. We joined them again in the evening at the banquet.

Both boys behaved well – Munchkin#2 slept before dinner was finished serving. Which was perfect because mommy and daddy got to enjoy some wine! It was so much fun that I drank a little too much. Too bad most of our friends had to drive – otherwise it’ll be even more fun.

Congratulations once again!

Have a BLISSFUL day!!!

[Celebration] — Carmen & Richard’s Gender Reveal Party

What a blessing to be invited to this Gender Reveal party of our good friends! A new member of the family means a new chapter of their lives.

I was so anxious finding out what the gender was! I wanted to do a gender reveal party when we found out what munchkin#2 was but the excitement to share killed us and we couldn’t keep it in! So kudos to this couple for keeping it a secret for a few months!

Congratulations on having a baby girl! We cannot wait to meet this little precious angel of yours!

Have a TERRIFIC day!!!

[Summer Fun] — Hubbys’ Co-Workers Gathering • Barbecue & Wine

What is better than some wine and barbecue over a hot summer day? It was a nice get together with Hubbys’ coworkers – catching up with life. Nice conversations and nice wine = a perfect summer patio day. Food was delish with a mixture of everything.

We try to get together every summer and it’s nice for me to socialize with Hubbys’ coworkers. Sometimes they invite me to go to their work dinner but with 2 kids – there’s no way for me to go. Maybe I’ll join them for their work lunches one day! It’s nice to feel included into things. Hubbys’ coworkers are all very nice & easy to get along. Till next time!

Have a LOVELY day!!!

[Summer Fun] — Safari Niagara

It was our first visit to Niagara Safari and it was amazing. It took about 1.5 hour drive with 1 pit stop. It was an extremely hot day but thank goodness both kids behaved & cooperated.

There were so many animals to see. We walked about half way than decided to hop on the wagon ride to see the rest of the Safari. This place is huge!

Munchkin#1 learned so much about animals and his fave was the giraffes. It’s cute how little things interest him. Other than the giraffes – his favorite part was the park. He wasn’t too interested with the water park. Which it was a good thing for us – no need to change him. The park itself is huge. There’s a lot to do! From what I remember – we spent around 5 hours there. We sure did soak in those vitamin C & D that day! For sure we’ll be visiting again one day!

Have a GORGEOUS day!!!

[Celebration] — Joelle’s 4th Birthday Party

We celebrated Princess Joelle’s fourth birthday early July. The theme was everything pink & purple & princess-y.

The adults get to catch up & eat while the kids did their own thing! Which was perfect! I love how the kids get to celebrate birthdays together every year! What a blessing it is to have each other as good friends!

Cheers to another year older & stay healthy forever Princess Joelle! Can’t wait to celebrate many more birthdays with you!

[Celebration] — Cayden’s 1st Birthday Party

What a blessed day getting to celebrate his FIRST birthday with families and friends. We had about 50 attendees that day and it was fun catching up with everyone!

Hubby’s friend came with a professional camera and took some decent photos with us. So this post includes both Iphone & professional photos. We are so grateful to have a friend take photos! Photos mean the world to especially me! Thank you so much Kev!

Kids had loads of fun chasing each other around. They all love the wagon!

Munchkin#2 was a bit nervous when we all sang “Happy Birthday” to him. All eyes were staring at him – I would be nervous too.

I am so glad to be hosting this birthday party with adults and kids. But next party – I will only keep it small to the kids. With a party this big – it’s so hard to catch up with everyone. A conversation could only last maximum 10 minutes. Having a small and intimate party is definitely easier but I won’t say I will never host a big party again. Friends and families play a big part of our lives – we wouldn’t be who we are without them! Thank you all for finding the time out of your busy schedule to come out & love these munchkins!

Have a FABULOUS day!!!

[Mommy Monday] — Our Summer 2017

Mommy Monday • Where Did Summer Go?

I have to admit – I’ve been neglecting my blog for awhile. Summer had just been fun and productive for me and my family. It felt like it zoomed by! I remember the first day of my summer break – My thoughts were “it’ll be a dreadful summer holiday with two kids”. But to my surprise – it was a very eventful first summer break for all of us. We didn’t get a weekend off to do nothing – now that’s how busy life was.

The only thing that was different from going to school and being on break was that I am the one filling up the calendar with things to do for both kids. With school – I can just send him there and the teacher figures it out.

I made sure he didn’t only have fun. We followed a routine at home too. Work books, reading, and a little bit of chores here and there.

Play dates were twice a week and I don’t think I could of handled any more. It was nice seeing his friends this summer because all the kids were on break. During school terms – he gets to see friends once or twice a month. So it was a bonus seeing them so much! Love how they all get along with no one being in tears or complaining about this and that. Love how they are well behaved when they play together while the mommies can catch up too.

Munchkin#1 wasn’t always home all the time – I had scheduled different kinds of educational and fun activities throughout this summer. Not every week – just a good balance. He enjoyed meeting new friends and learning new things. My favorite part was hearing what he learned and enjoyed that day. It’s very heartwarming to me that he loved what I plan out for him. I don’t just pick a program and send him there. I wanted it to be educational yet fun yet something he finds interesting yet meet new friends.

I am actually surprised the Ipad wasn’t used much! I thought I would rely on the Ipad to keep myself sane. They were content with the toys at home and different activities. I am proud of them!

Another thing was – a balance summer was important to me. Not too much fun. Not too much educational things. Not too much time being at home. We spent a lot of time outdoors soaking up vitamin c and vitamin d. Both my boys love being outdoors & I have no complaints either. Summer in Toronto is just way too short – so whenever time permits – we are outdoors. Either for family walks, bikes, or any activities.

My eldest son got to spend more time with his baby brother. It is heartwarming to watch. I find it very cute how they interact with each other. Sometimes it can be annoying but that’s part of brotherhood right? I love that they make each other laugh. They play together at times. Big brother acts like a boss and tells his baby brother how things should be done. I love every bit of it! I love it even though it frustrates me sometimes! They bond very well. I am blessed.

Enough talks about my babies. I kept myself quite productive with different home and life projects. I had a chance to go out daily with the girlfriends for catch up or girl’s time. We got the chance to catch up with good old friends this summer as well. Some we only get to see once or twice in a year. Life is busy for everyone and we all understand how precious time is.

Relatives from Asia came for a visit for a few months as well. It was nice getting to spend time with them.

Hubby took this Munchkin to work for a day for him to really have a glimpse of what daddy does for work. He was thrilled and excited but bored by the afternoon. LOL – he asked to go to work with him again the next day but hubby declined his request. Hahaha. Work life in another 20 years?

Can’t believe two months flew by just like that. There are a lot of events to catch up with on this blog. I’m hoping I get a little free time to do so. It’s time to plan munchkin #2s activities for this fall. A birthday party to plan for my girlfriends’ daughter too. Life never stops when we have kids but it’s a blessing. I love every part of parenthood except dealing with annoying kids lol. That’s it for now – stay tune!

Have a FABULOUS day!!!

[Jayden] — 5 Year Old Update :: Growing Up & Responsibilities

My 5 year old is a big boy now! He quickly adapted to being 5 so quick. Right on his birthday – we asked how old he is – his answer was “5 year old”.

He had three different birthday celebrations this month which he was very blessed with. He got to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ and blow the candle 3 times. Just like any other years – he has his actual kid’s party, a lunch or dinner with relatives, and celebrating his actual day with us. So so blessed!

The thing that comes out of his mouth is so funny sometimes. I would say mature in a way. He is definitely growing his vocabulary! I still remember those times when he started with 2-3 words when he was a little over one year old. Compare to now – he’s grown so much! I miss my baby being a baby!

His adores his baby brother is still the same! He’s quite funny because he enjoys playing with his baby brother’s toys and gadgets. He likes sitting in his high chair and swing. Just makes us laugh at his silliness!

He has gotten a lot more independent. As in putting things away when he comes home from school, puts dirty clothes in the laundry, puts dishes in the kitchen when he’s done with, helps us get this and that, clean up after himself, and etc… I’ve been thinking about developing some chores for him. Vacuuming? Folding laundry? The problem being is – by the time he gets home from school – all chores are already done and mommy doesn’t do chores on weekends. So far – I’m already proud that he’s picking up his own things. Sometimes he would help get this and that for baby brother too.

He got to experience his first Valentine’s Day in school this year. They had a dance in the gym and handed out Valentine’s Day cards. Which he came home with some and he told me he had fun.

Also – he got to experience his first field trip. I’m not sure how it went – he didn’t tell me much about it. The trip was about 3 hours long in the morning.

Since we’re talking about school – we’ll continue on this subject. He received his very first report card which made me teary! Yes teary because I am so proud of this Munchkin. In the beginning of the school year – he wasn’t doing so great which worried me. He wasn’t sitting still during carpet time and he wasn’t listening well. After a few months of changing bad habits and being so strict at home on him – it really did pay off. His report card proves that he’s excelling in school. Listening well and getting along with others. He loves learning too. After reading such a good report – we quickly bought him a reward that day. I was so proud of him! Excited for him! He’s never told me once that he didn’t like school. I hope after this reward – he’ll continue to excel in school. Rewards are only given when he works hard. I don’t believe in giving them whatever they want at any given time. That’s my opinion.

On another note he loves to act what the teacher does in school. Take attendance, bring attendance to office, and pretend to show and share.  I love watching it because it gives me an idea on what he is doing in school.

It’s March already – which means summer is around the corner. Well – 3 months away! I’ve thought and planned out his summer activities already. This Munchkin will be having a busy summer with activities and chilling with his friends. I’ll go into details on what he’ll be doing in a few months!

As for soccer – winter soccer season 2017 has officially ended! Munchkin loves soccer and we are so happy he enjoys it. He enjoys the interaction with other kids and listening to instructions. We cannot wait till summer 2017 season to start! That’s all for his 5 year old update or journal!

Have a WONDERFUL day!!!

[Cayden] — 8 Month Old Update ::

Here’s an update of my 8 month old Munchkin! I miss the days when he was tiny and just a 4-pounder! I’ll never get sick of saying that! He has tripled his weight. A little over 12 pound and very active boy! I’ve finally got time to clean out his 3 month old clothes. It all went to donation. He is onto 6-9 month clothes.

I think this will be the last month I’ll be using the baby bath angel because my child is too active. He loves kicking the water and sometimes slides out. He’ll be able to use the baby tub and play in there freely. He loves water!

He’s eating well. Eats 4 times a day and about 1.5 serving each + fruits after certain meals. I tend to feed him more during the before bed feeding – so he sleeps longer without waking up in the middle of the night. Talking about sleep. He’s been a great sleeper! Mommy is so blessed that both my boys sleep so well! He sleeps around 10-11 hours per night. Once in awhile he’ll wake up and cry in the night. But falls back to sleep.

Loves to give you the serious face but yet smiles a lot! He’s not a crier but he definitely cries more than his big brother. He loves sitting and standing. He’s been enjoying a lot more of his toys. Loves to touch and push buttons. Loves mommy spending time with him and playing with him.

Oh – one big milestone this month is he knows how to crawl! YUP – we are officially in trouble because I gotta be extra careful with tiny little things. He loves putting everything in his mouth. He is attracted to wires and controllers. He does get more freedom to crawl everywhere he wants. But the other thing is – he does get into his big brothers toys – which his big brother doesn’t like. They’ll need to learn how to work this out. Hahahah.

His third tooth is spouting out and it’s getting more dangerous. He doesn’t bite me all the time but once in awhile. It sure does hurt!

Still very clingy to mommy. When I am home – he prefers me. But when I’m out – he prefers his daddy than anyone else. It feels cute because we feel that kind of importance when he wants us.

That’s really it for this month. He’s keeping me busy for sure! We cannot wait till the weather gets warmer so we can go out for walks and breathe more fresh air! Please slow down on growing up – I just want to hold you a little longer baby boy!

Have a GRATEFUL day!!!

[Lifestyle] — 8 Month Postpartum • #MomLife & Side Tracked

Finally getting back on track with my blogging. I’m glad life is back to normal.

It’s already my 8 month postpartum! I haven’t done anything regarding my weight yet. Not quite sure about my weight but I did start eating healthy for breakfast and sometime lunches. In order to build good habits – I got to do it in a slow process. Eating healthy one meal at a time is what I am doing now. I cannot cut carbohydrates yet because I am still breast feeding. Overall – everything in slow process. Will be adding in work out soon.

My mood last month was all over the place. I don’t want to explain too much here. Basically my time was disturbed. My schedule and routine was off. When I don’t do things in a structure routine – I feel like my whole self is messed up. Does that even make sense? Anyways – I’m never gonna feel sorry for anyone anymore, because its just not worth my time.

My main focus is raising my boys to be respectful, loving, and caring human beings. Providing a normal and happy family for them and my husband is my number one goal.

As for my milk supply – it had decreased quite a bit. I’m not too worried about it because Munchkin#2 has started solids for two months now. His solids substitutes for the milk. He only drinks milk before a naps or before bedtime or early in the morning. Basically 4-5 times a day.

I think I’ve mentioned that I would start pumping. I’m having different thoughts now. Its quite overwhelming with pumping because I need to wash the pump every day. I’m busy enough with feeding solids 4x a day, baths, entertaining munchkin#2, cooking meals, daily chores, Munchkin#1s school stuff + workbook and a whole lot of stuff that I cannot think of right now. Lol so yeah – I cannot sit on my ass all day and do nothing. Things will start piling up.

As for my sleep – it has been quite good ever since sleep training Munchkin#2 last month. Sleeping through the night is amazing but at times I still do wake up in between because Munchkin#2 still sometime cries in the middle of the night. I’ve stopped nursing the mid-night feeds.

The weather has been so cold lately – I’ve been basically home almost every day. If you ask if I can stay home every day 3 to 4 years ago – I would say no. But now – I love being home. I love being in my pajamas all day long with my messy hair. I can always find something to do. But than again – I cannot wait till Spring and Summer where I can bring the kids to parks and different activities.

Its so different having 1 kid verse 2 kids. A lot more to think about and plan. As long as I am organized it cuts out the stress for me. So far my kids are easy to take care of.

I’m grateful to have girlfriends come over to chill 2-3 times a month. Everyone has their busy schedule and I don’t expect to see them as often. But when we do see each other – its like a catch up session. Its awesome!

Last – hair loss has stopped! Finally! I don’t see my hair flying everywhere or on the floor much. But my baby hair is sticking up – which is annoying. Haha. Grow faster!

That’s all for my 8 month postpartum. I am so grateful and blessed for this simple life God has given me! Please keep my 3 boys healthy and happy always!

Have a BLISSFUL day!!!

[Cayden] — 8 Month Update • Sprouting 2 Bottom Teeth

My second child sure has some character! A whole lot of character comparing to his big brother! He will scream and get angry at things – I know right? Get angry and throw a fit at 8 month old? I sure don’t remember his big brother doing that at this young! I’m going to read up upon how to control baby behavior and fix this issue. It’s better to start it early than later – otherwise it’ll be even harder to fix.

My little Munchkin has officially sleep trained in his own crib. He hasn’t slept in the play pan for over a month now! I have to say he’s only 90% sleep train. I am still working on skipping out on the night time 12:30AM feed. Other than that he’ll cry in the middle of the night once in awhile. Sometimes I ignore it and he goes back to sleep till 7 in the morning. I’m glad we started this sleep training process early because Mama gets her beauty sleep back!

Big brother loves baby brother. Baby brother loves watching his big brother do things. I love their interaction and am in love watching them both grow up together. It warms my heart so much that they’ll have each other growing up together when we are old and wrinkly in the future.

He loves standing up and jumping – quite active! He shifts around on the floor and goes everywhere. When I leave him their for a few minutes – he’s gone! I’m not going to put gates up for him – so I got to keep my eyes on him at all times. This kid is fast!

Mama has finally got his routine down. He’s down with 2 naps, 4 meals, and the rest of the time is play time, bath time, and etc… Having a routine is such a must – it just makes my life easier and I can plan ahead. I still nurse him before naps and before bedtime. He has cut down to half his nursing.

He graduated from his play mat and blue bouncer. I’ve sold them – makes me kind of sad when it’s gone because that means he’s grown up and soon not a baby anymore. The blue bouncer was from his baby brother over 4 years ago. A little sentimental to me for sure.

Loves playing toys and listening to music. Whenever I sing “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” – he settles down.

Look at that cheekiness!

I’ve been preparing his solids 2-3 times a week. I try to mix up a bit of the ingredients so he doesn’t have the same things all the time. I don’t think it makes a difference for him but I want him to try new things. So far – he’s been alright eating solids 4 times a day.

So far he’s tried most vegetables and meat except for beef and tomato – I’m going to wait a little bit more for those food. I enjoy preparing and cooking these meals for Munchkin#2 – totally reminds me how I made solids for Munchkin#1. It’s not that feeding store bought food is not healthy – I just like making my own, so I know what’s in it.

That’s all for the month of January 2017 – stay tune to see what’s in store for this little guy next month! There sure is a lot of changes in each month as he grows.

Have a THANKFUL day!!!

[Celebration] — Christmas 2016 With Relatives

This will be the last Christmas event that we celebrated in the 2016! Christmas with relatives has been a tradition every year for us. This year is exact special because we are hosting. I love hosting events because of all the organizing and planning that includes in it. I plan my menu days in advance – I even plan the set up of my table. I put 100% on what I do because I love what I do.

It was so much fun getting to gather together and catch up! Look how festive everyone is – they are mostly in red! We didn’t bother changing out of our Christmas pajamas since Christmas Eve because it’s very festive! We are very blessed to have them in our life and I cannot wait to host another Christmas event like this!

Have a THANKFUL day!!!
